I posted on the transportation board also...but I am confused.
We have been to chef mickeys before...most of time staying off site. I know it is not "in the rules" but...i think we just grabbed the monarail to the magic kingdom and came back later for our car....but I thought I paid for parking there instead of the transportation center. Is that an option anymore? They said the gate guard will give us a pass for three hours with our reservations...but otherwise not. I just can't remember...who has stayed off site yet gone for reservations with their own car?
Perhaps we will just change the day and resolve the issue that way...
Help..and thanks!

No you can't park at any of the hotels and go to the park. The parking permit is just for your reservations and if the hotel is full they will town your car. You can get valet parking and leave there all day.

There is no paid parking @ the resorts unless you use the valet parking - it will end up costing you the same as parking at the TTC, with valet + tip.

I don't see what the big deal is with parking @ the TTC and taking the monorail to the Contemporary - it's a lot less hassle just to do that (which I'm saying because that's what I suggested on your thread on the Transportation board, but you seem to be questioning that approach). I'm not seeing what "issue" there is to resolve that would involve changing your park day or reservation?
