with all the meats roaming around, when you leave, do you smell like food? i absolutely hate that so i need to know if i should bring an extra shirt.

I think to a bear we always smell like food. :rotfl:

But, I did not notice anything out of the ordinary when we left there with regards to how our cloths smelled. I think that if it is something you are sensitive to, you should err on the side of caution and bring an extra shirt. Why ruin you day by not being prepared.

No I never noticed anyone smelling like food after we left ohana or any restaurant for that matter.

i wouldnt bother bringing a shirt and if the smell is that bad for you you could always pick up a tee shirt at the gift shop..but i seriously doubt you would need to.

WHAAAA??????? OMG Where have you been eating???? I've eaten meals in 4 different continents and never run into a situation like that.

LOL! All I could think of was our cafeteria in College... you always stunk when you came out of there! :confused3 People would be able to tell that you ate at "McSPEWN"...

I never noticed it at ohana though!

Never been in a small diner or a bar that serves bar food? Any place where they are cooking in close proximity, you run the risk of leaving smelling like grease and fried stuff. I just ate at Moe's Southwest Grill last night, which is fairly big, and I left smelling like grease and food. There's a couple of local bars here where they cook chicken wings and french fries and other simple fried bar foods, and we always leave smelling like fried stuff. Same when we eat at a small diner for breakfast or something. Pretty common in Buffalo :confused3

I can't speak to Ohana as I have never eaten there but since they grill in the open, I'd imagine you'd run the risk. Maybe at Teppan Edo too. I also hate smelling like food so I'd probably want to bring another shirt, or plan to go back to the resort after.

It depends where you sit. If you are seated next to the open grilling area you may smell like a fire all night. I noticed this when we ate at Ohana and were seated close to the fire. I would never sit there again because I ended up having an asthma attack later that night and this was a contributing factor. I have long hair and I notice my hair will pick up food smells. So I understand why you would want to change. If you bring a spare shirt make sure you have it in a sealed plastic bag, or it will smell too.

You don't get out much for meals do you???? :lmao::lmao:

Seriously, tons of places you can walk out of smelling of your dinner. And other peoples. It great:rotfl2: I find different ethnic places are like this, small diners, college campus', bars.....really....you may need to try more places.

Actually, we dine out a couple of times a week at home, and of course, daily when travelling. Perhaps it is simply our choice of restaurants. We do tend to select places other than diners and bars, although we frequently eat in 'ethnic' places. Can't get much more 'ethnic' than Tokyo, Rome, Cancun, Cairo....

OP: Sorry, I did not realize that this could be such an issue that it would require an immediate change of clothing. Perhaps my nose has become less sensitive over the years.

Well, I don't personally find that it's a big issue. But I avoid the Country Bear Jamboree afterward. Just to be safe.

Maybe Buffalonians are just used to it because I've never noticed it before. Well maybe after the fact...like if I happen to pick up the same shirt the next day for a sniff test or something.

Those that have dined at Ohana that night won't smell you...LOL

I just go back to my high school/college years when I worked at a fish market....My Mom would YELL ...GET IN THE SHOWER...why? I never smelled a thing! Once I showered...ouch...those clothes smelled!!!!!!!!!!

Really, if you are sensative to smell...bring that shirt...but honestly I really don't think other people would smell it!

haha i know this is a weird question, and i appreciate the responses. we will have a bag so i could probably just buy one if i need to, as someone suggested. it might give me an excuse to get the "when's the 3 o'clock parade?" shirt ;)
