Do you scrap all your Disney vacations? Any tips for speed scrapping them?

Look for ideas on sites like 2 Peas. When you find ideas, save them to your computer or make a note.

First I sort my photos. Then I have a box with a lid and lots of 12 X 12 pieces of cardboard. I choose the papers that I like with each set of photos and put them on one piece of cardboard with notes, fibers, paper piecing patterns, etc. Then I stack the cardboard squares in the box.

When I want to scrap, I have all the items and ideas ready to go. When the empty cardboard stack starts to get big, I simply get more photos and reload. It's amazing how much faster you can work if you have all the materials and ideas together in advance. It also helps me when I go to the LSS. I make a list of all the things I'm missing for the current stack of "pages". It cuts down on the "I can't do this page until I go buy brown cardstock" times.

For our n-th trip, I made an A-to-Z album. One page for each letter of the alphabet. On the "A" page, for example are pictures with Ariel, my son Andrew, Alien Encounter, getting "A"utographs, etc. Not much journaling is needed, not every photo needs to be used, chronological order isn't importantt. Of course, finding things to go with the tougher letters can get dicey. "X"pensive (copies of receipts), "V"illains, and Pressed "Q"uarters come to mind.....

I'm thinking of trying an "element of style" album....where for each page I use a similar approach to enhancements, but I can adapt to the colors of my photos/theme/etc....

I'm thinking perhaps to pick out 2 or 3 BH sketches....and make most of my decorative stuff with a mickey motif....or I could use the little emblem for each park and use that emblem on photos done at that park....

Hmmm...I wonder if I go through my photos from 2003 if I could find enough to do an ABC album with them. We had lots of short trips last year. Actually we have a few short trips this year too....

Then again, I love that idea for b&w for halloween....maybe even get some of those markers for colorizing photos and use them just every so often on photos...perhaps even just orange for on halloween decorations...hmmmm....maybe I'll print a few photos and try it. (love my picturemate for trying stuff like this!) Okay, black pages...b&w pics with white borders....and some occasional white and orange decorations on the pages...that could be really wonderfully dramatic. Might even use the CM canyon album I have laying around for it. Anyone know if CM pens would be safe to use on photos? I guess I could just try it. Oh, and our Halloween party pics could be copied b&w......

And now I'm thinking for our one December trip doing a "Twas the night before Christmas" spin off......"Twas in the weeks before Christmas...we were all with the mouse....doing much more than stirring....venturing far from our house..."

Darn, I really am the most creative at night! Sorry for getting off topic...I hope my rambling helps in some way!
