My dh has become the nutrition police. He had a fit when he saw me putting salt and pepper on my hamburger. When I grill burgers I salt them on the grill - I know he doesn't so I brought salt and pepper to the table and put some on mine. He was very judgemental.

So my question is - do you salt your hamburgers (either on the grill or at the table)?

yup yup! i salt & pepper mine @ the table. i even salt my tomatoes!!! :eek: :eek: :teeth:

I can't imagine eating any type of beef without some salt on it. :confused: Are you supposed to be limiting your salt intake for medical reasons?

Yes, I put salt and pepper in the ground beef (or deer) before I grill them.

I love salt and put it on most of my foods.. Fortunately I have no health problems that forbid the use of salt - otherwise I would probably die FROM "salt withdrawl"..:eek:

::yes::

I put seasoned salt on the patties before i cook them

Gotta season the patties:

salt, pepper, onions, garlic powder, paprika, and a bit of worchestershire sauce.

YUMMY!!!

Man oh man is that true. I recently had to give up salt for health reasons. Truthfully, it was more difficult giving up salt on beef than quitting smoking ever was.

I'm with DMickey--I put seasoned salt on the patties before I cook them. Same with steaks.

I have been vindicated! No I have no health problems requiring a low-sodium diet, I just have a weird husband.

Now that's what I'm talking about. Too bad I don't eat red meat anymore.

yep - i put seasoned salt, pepper, and worchestershire sauce on it right before it hits the grill. :p

Gotta have salt on beef--from burgers to filets, it's just not the same without salt. Confession time. I bought a bag of 1200 salt packets from SAM's Club and always have 2 or 3 in my purse and wallet just in case I am at a picnic or some other place where there is no salt for the burgers. (Besides, I thought it was cool to get 1200 of something for $1.59!)

oh yes, salt, pepper and garlic.... yummy!!!
