I was sorting a box of "stuff" and found some really cute cards. I hate to get rid of them but I also don't see a lot of point of keeping all these cards when there's no special reason (like the cards from dh, dm, dd).

My question is, do you reuse cards to make other cards or to use in scrapbooking? Are commercial cards acid free and acceptable for use in scrapbooking? I hate throwing away really cute things, even the Winnie the Pooh card from a ex-employee!

I cut a new inside from colored stock, punch with a corner slot punch (like the ones that you use for making mats) and then cut a piece of white stock for a new message. I like to do my own cards like that too...I don't know about you, but I always seem to mess up when writing a message...pen gerbs, mis-spellings (Happy Bithday was a classic), anyway, with the white piece replaceable, I can make the boo boo and still use the card, just pop in a new piece. Friends like when they get one too, they reuse the cards, and they go on and on... :teeth:

Good idea. I hadn't thought about using them in that way.

My classic misspelling was similar - Happy Birtday!

I reuse them to make other cards. I also reuse them to make gift tags. Especially Christmas cards. I also make baby boxes and use the cards to decorate them. :)
