Do you return makeup?

I wasn't suggesting opening and sampling closed packages. That is disgusting and unethical in my opinion, since it would be equal to stealing. I can't speak on the return procedures or quality of pharmacy brand cosmetics and most stores do have samples only the pharmacies and mega-lo-marts don't. I only purchase my makeup at either cosmetic stores say sephora, mac or dept store, where they have testers. If you read my post I suggested that one go to the makeup counter and have the makeup artist assist you and then go out and look at the color in daylight before purchasing. I buy lots and lots of makeup. I like new color and honestly at this point in the game I know what works on my skin-tone without having to sample it.

If you don't have many stores in your area where you can test makeup I'd suggest next time your in Disney checking out the Guerlain and Givenchy stores in Epcot Paris, you could then sample some cosmetics before buying them. They have the complete collections for both brands something you actually won't find at any department store in the states for Givenchy and Guerlain sells some perfume you can only find in Paris.

? you said testers gross you out...Hence the suggestion you test on your hand..

We have make up counters I know how they work. I don't use them, the only "high end" make up store/counter I go to is Sephora. :) there isn't one very close to me but I visit the one in DTD when I'm in Anaheim. :thumbsup2
My point was simply that most of the stores mentioned in this thread are the "mega lo-marts" lol (that term is hilarious, I love it) those locations don't have make up counters. I don't buy a lot of make up, I don't wear a lot of make up.
Yes testers are gross...to be honest, I don't even like to test them on my hands. Yes it's a weird phobia I have. lol :cutie:
Thanks for the tips on Epcot, I haven't been to WDW but when we finally make it I'll check it out. :)

I would only buy makeup from a company/store willing to take it back and those companies/stores want to keep me coming back so they take returns. First off it is so hard to tell if a foundation works until you can actually try it in natural light. I have always read to NOT test foundation on your hand. Along your jawline is the best place and in natural light which is not available easily in a mall. Plus even if they have a tester - thats kind of gross and while you might use the tester properly the 30 people before you may not have. Second you might have a reaction to it. I actually just returned some foundation yesterday that broke me out badly. Color was great, reaction was not.
