Do you resort hop offsite?

For our next 10 day trip we were considering resort hopping, but at offsite locations. Has anyone done that...at which resorts and for how long? I'm NOT interested in condos or homes. Been there, done that. I want a resort with full maid service and we have no need of a kitchen as we'll be eating all meals out. However, breakfast included would be nice.

For the most part offsite resorts are not unique enough to motivate resort hopping.

I'd look at 1 or more of the Universal hotels (PBH, HH or RP). IMHO ES have about the best included breakfast. If you are flexible with the breakfast requirement you might try PL, you should save enough on the rate to pay for your own breakfast.

I agree, if you are not staying on Disney's Themed properties there is very little to see by resort hopping. Unless there is something limiting the length of your stay, resort hopping can take up valuable vacation time between packing, moving and unloading. And if a hotel room is not available early you have no place to change if you wish to use the pool.

I've got to agree also. I think the only exception would be if you were talking about upper end properties - Marriott World Center, Gaylord Palms, the Peabody, etc. For moderate or lower priced places, there isn't much difference between them. Why deal with the hassle of packing and unpacking.

I've been to the Peabody and Marriott for conferences, and even they are not all that interesting. I'd like to explore Gaylord Palms and the Universal resorts. I can't think of any other offsites that I ever was interested in experiencing.
