We were going to stay at CSR 4/02, and 3 weeks before we were to leave I went to the WDW site and they had just put up a discount for a Deluxe resort for Moderate price. I immediately called and changed our reservation to upgrade to WL and the rest is history!!! Do you remember yours...:listen:

My first discount wasn't great - AAA rates. This was 2 years ago before I knew about codes and these boards :)

A couple yrs ago Poly 204.00 night tax included.

I do!

2001: We got the Poly (GV) for $179/night (AP, pre-tax) for October. The rates came out in early July. I was new to the whole discount code thing and I almost fainted when my rate went from ~$330/night to $179/night. The CM even said "wow, that's a great rate!". I'll say!!!!!

2002: We got a Poly (GV) general public code rate of $184/night (pre-tax) for September.

2003: 7-for-4 Fairytale Package in October.

2004: 7-for-5 DreamMaker Package in October.

My first was the 7-4 deal....we upgraded to conciege because we were able to save so much. At the Yacht Club....

Makes me want to STAB myself in the eye!!! 1994 Poly $79.00 a night!!!!!!

More recent:

2001 Poly - $160.00 w/ tax

October 2001 at All-Star Sports - $49.00 a night. We were able to stay for 8 nights for a little over $400.00. This is when we bought annual passes for the first time and we've had them ever since. :earsboy:

OK...we are REALLY old....it was 10/93, Poly gardern view for $89/night and CR Tower room for $99/night!!!!

Talk about the "Good Ole Days...."

It was back in the 80's and I was a member of the Magic Kingdom Club (RIP), We were going to stay at the Polynesian Resort in late October and it was the first time I was using my new gold card. We got what I thought was a huge discount for our stay, I think it was 30%, (if I can find the booklets from back then I pull them out). After a few years, they cut the discount back to 20% and changed the dates available for the discount making it harder for us to go down during a discounted time of year.

I miss the old MKC, not that group that took over the club 2 years before it was shut down but the old group.

Our first discount was at then Dixie Landings, I don't remember the number, but I believe it was 50% off with the AP. This was in early Dec. 1992. I was pregnant with my first at the time.

Florida Resident Special Poly Pool View $99.00 a night Early 80's we received this rate for many years...I was also a MKC member and used the discounts from the org MKC, we received many specials from my Florida Resident Pass. I still use the Florida Resident codes for weekends but I purchased DVC a few years ago so now my major trips are already paid for.

Unfortunately, it was last June when I booked the Swan on the teacher rate which I learned about here! Fortunately, I learned quickly and every time since then has been discounted! Unfortunately, I am on trip five in less than a year because my AP NEEDS to be used! Fortunately, I LOVE DISNEY!

I love the Disboards!

1996......The Boardwalk resort was just opening and I received a rate of $225 for a one bedroom villa , waterview. The resort hadn't opened yet when I booked it and they were unsure of pricing but they honored the ressie and the fact that I was told it would be a waterview.....WOW....wish I could have a rate like that again:) I fell in love with the Boardwalk as you can see from my name.

Now we are DVC members but at the BC:):bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I don't remember the exact details but I know I saved quite a bit on my first trip to Disney with "my" family (meaning my husband and kids, not with me and my parents) and we stayed at the Caribbean Beach. We got a discount through the Magic Kingdom Club.

Mine was for the first year that the WL opened and it was a fantastic room for 99.00 a night but at that time the WL was considered a moderate if I remember correctly.............I've been hooked ever since! The room was on the fifth floor right in the middle overlooking the whole courtyard and pool.

We got the $49 rate back in 2001 for the All stars and have been hooked ever since.

Swan - 129 nurse rate (actually 151 by time they added all the extra charges and taxes) Oct 2002

The better one was AKL last Christmas for Savannal View $163 per night which included the tax

Way back in 1985 (I am pretty sure) we were offered a stockholders discount of 50% off. We stayed with my parents at the Treehouse Villas for $80 a night! My father loved it.

I think the next year we were able to get the stockholders discount again in early December for the Grand Floridian. I don't remember the rate we got but the CM that checked us in said she had never seen a discount like that!

Sure wish they still had those kinds of discounts. We joined DVC at Boardwalk in 1996.

The first time we used the AP discount was for out WL trip. The year before we stayed at BWI and paid full price :scared: because we weren't DISers yet, and we didn't know about AP rates. Life is so much better knowing about AP rates!!
