Do you remember your Cabbage Patch Kid's name?

Scarlet Candice

My sister saw her in the store and bought her for me because I was a big Gone With the Wind fan (and the doll was cute, too).

Nellie Anntoniette my grandma got her the first year they were out. :lovestruc
I ALWAYS have wanted an Amy
better yet an Amy Jo

but since Amy was a super popular 80s name we never could find one, as soon as they would be put out they would be gone :headache:

My DD21 picked out her own CPK Baby with gift money when she was 4. Her name is Bernadette Louise and she took her everywhere for years. She's even in one of my favorite photos with 3 generations of my family in it. She still has her, although her pacifier got lost at some point.

For some reason, I was never a fan of playing with dolls, but I did have one CPK. Her name was Hermosa Marcie. Even at age 7, I cringed at the sound of that name.

I had no idea they all came with atrocious names!

Fritzi Fannie. For real!! I "legally" changed it to Kristen Lynn, because that was my best friend's name. I heard it every time her mom yelled at her and I thought it was the most beautiful name in the world. LOL

I forgot my Preemie's name, but I still have both dolls. My own children have CPK's that they could care less about. They're all about their American Girl Dolls, which cost more than my CPK's combined, and then some!

I had a lot of them. My first and favorite was Gina Lucette (I still have her) I had another one named Lulu Lexie. I had a boy preemie but I don't remember his name and then I had twins and a cornsilk doll. These were probably my favorite toys.

Ah ha you just reminded me of my cornsilk's name: Gertie Gabby

Mine was Winifred Gertie, but I called her Katie

My grandmother had Allison Addie, Allison Addie and Katie/Winifred Gertie used to have tea parties and birthday parties all the time. My Grandma was the best

My brother had Nelson Rufus.

OMG, that sounds like my son this year. He's four and he's autistic spectrum, so he's even a bit worse than a regular kid when he gets an idea in his head of what he wants and he just can't let go of it.

So anyhow, leading up to Christmas DH and I are trying to ask him what he wants. Every time we ask he says either "I don't want to talk about it now" or "I'm not telling you" Very frustrating because I really wanted/needed to get the shopping done.

We took him to this really awesome toy store near our house and followed him around to see what he was interested in. He found this Melissa and Doug wooden firetruck that you can build. That was the clear winner of the day, and all he talked about afterwards. He told everyone that all he wanted was "a firetruck that builds".

Fast forward a few days, he's at school and I take his twin to the toystore to pick out something to give him from herself and their older sister. She wants to give him the firetruck. Perfect, we get the firetruck and are on our merry way.

Christmas Eve we put all the family gifts out under the tree. Santa comes at night and puts all his presents on top of or in front of the family gifts. Christmas morning we're opening gifts and after almost every single gift DS says "I said I want a firetruck that builds". He can't let go, it's the one toy he wanted most. So we keep going, he keeps saying that he wants the firetruck. By the time we finally get down to the family gifts and he opens it, he was kind of just like "Eh, whatever"

Betsy Beth was my 1st one and I HATED the name. I was a mean mommy to her. I got her the year that they were the super hot toy to get. Don't know how my mom got one.

I eventually got a bunch. I don't remember the names. Eli was my boy and I know there was a Katrina and a Suzanne. One was an astronaut and one had a pacifier with red hair, she was my favorite.

They are all in my garage in a rubbermaid tote except the astronaut, I gave her to my DS but he didn't want it so it is in his closet somewhere.

I had a fake one so I got to name it myself. It was one where you buy the head and my mom made the body. I remember going through my mom's Mary Kay magazine for inspiration, in the big lists of saleswomen who had won awards that month. I chose Kembra Lee.

Her sister was Carmen. That was a doll my mom made out of pantyhose one day when I was sick. I loved that ugly little doll! Still have her in my bedroom.

My first one was Patrice Rorie, got her from a mountain of them, before they became the "it" thing.
2. Jeffrey Ricky
3. Cara Maddie
4. Elaine Roxanne
5. LeRoy Duwayne (my mom won him in a radio contest, he was one of my faves)
6. Johanna Isis

I had four more, but those names escape me... I do have the picture of them, where they went, nobody knows:confused:

Fritzi Fannie. For real!! I "legally" changed it to Kristen Lynn, because that was my best friend's name. I heard it every time her mom yelled at her and I thought it was the most beautiful name in the world. LOL

I forgot my Preemie's name, but I still have both dolls. My own children have CPK's that they could care less about. They're all about their American Girl Dolls, which cost more than my CPK's combined, and then some!

My sister just named her real daughter Samantha after her American Girl doll:laughing:

I had two. I don't remember their middle names, but they were Ethel and Giles. I also had one of the Cabbage Patch "Pets," a Koosa. They're all safely packed away at my mom's house, with their birth certificates and their wardrobes. DH had a Cabbage Patch doll, too, but he was definitely a boy's! We found him in a box last winter. His arm was hanging on by a thread and he had a crayon mustache, so my mom repaired him and gave him a bath. He looks pretty healthy now, for a 25 year old doll!

LOL..I had a few. Suzette Marie, Christopher Daniel, Nicole Lynn. I still have my Cabbage Patch Kids (well they are in my parents attic), but I just couldn't bare to get rid of them!

1) Serena Quimby-brunette with 2 braids
2) Trixie Alley-blonde with pigtails and a tooth
3) Henrika Taffy-red head with pigtails and a pacifier

I had 2 more and I can't remember their names. My daughter has them all now.

Charla Dorthea, brown hair and pigtails like me! I got her for christmas the first year they came out. My grandma had to take her friend with her to get them for my sister and I because the stores were only selling one oer customer!

I didn't have the kids - I had the cloth version - the original ones & I still have them so I do remember the names.

1 is Tony Ida

the other is Beatrice Opal

and I took Beatrice to the General Hospital in Cleveland, GA 2 summers ago & she came back beautiful! And the girls had a fabulous time visitng there.

I really wanted to buy them their own dolls but I can't afford the price tags - ($150 +) so they just have to play with mine.
