or is it all a blur now as it was a long time ago?!!! ;) tell me where you met...

We met at a friend's party, but didn't go out together for about 6 weeks.

Internet chatroom.....she was home sick and I was on vacation. Later we met in person on July 3rd. I had talked to her on the phone for hours and knew what she looked like. We hugged and it was magic. All I could think to say at first was "You are so much cuter in person!" :lmao:

We have been together 9 great years now. I feel so blessed to have her in my life. We are hoping to go to Boston and get married next year, if finances allow.

No, but I remember the second time I met him.

He remembers the first time we met, even the date. I only know it was the night before Thanksgiving, but that is only because he told me that on the second day we met that we were introduced that night and then he asked his friend to set us up. To this day I do not remember being introduced to him at all...and no I was not drunk.

23 years ago - on a Saturday night, in a County and Western bar in California. I was underage (19) and out with my Step Mother. I was dancing with a guy he worked with. I gave him my business card (I worked in a hair salon and my boss was always on my butt to give out our cards ;) ). He took my giving him my card as an invitation to ask me out, which he did the following Monday.
I turned him down, he said "oh come on, just one drink"
I said "I'm not old enough to drink"
he said "that didn't stop you the other night"
:lmao: I relented, I went out for 1 drink. We have been attached at the hip ever since.
Still our own personal joke, "just one drink"............

We met 25 years ago in June. He came into the salon I worked at and another girl cut his hair. She called me over to her chair and introduced us (he was a regular client of hers). After he left, she told me, "He thinks you're cute." And I replied, "Well, I do NOT think he is." LOL

About 1 year later, she quit and guess who I inherited? I was not too happy and he came in every three weeks! He tipped good for someone w/o much hair AND he was the only man who when he told me a joke, it wasn't dirty. I still remember my favorite one he told me. :)

For about a year every 3 weeks he'd come in, get a haircut and asked me out. I had a steady boyfriend and was not interested. He'd give me date scenerios and one day he told me we could go skiing. I'd never been skiing and thought it sound fun. At that little bit of melting of my heart everything started changing quickly and we soon began dating.

Still, after knowing him 25 years, we've never gone skiing. I'm not sure whether that part is funny or not. ;)

It will be 30 years in December.

Our first words to each other in the college library "listening center" -
Me (hearing Mozart coming out of his earphones): Nachtmusik?
DH: Yeah, wanna listen?

That is so funny!! We still use DH's joke's punchline also! :lovestruc

As I was coming around to him, I turned 20 (had a huge crisis about turning 20! He sent me flowers .) and my boss had a Valentine's Party that weekend. She invited my now DH and he had people get my then boyfriend distracted and he was in my face about dancing with me.

I'm not a dancer and he was and he had a little too much to drink. Finally, I said I'd slow dance with him and, well, I shoulda never done that! I was totally blown away by him. And he asked if he could bring me lunch the next work day and I reluctantly said yes. I really thought he was probably too drunk to remember...but he wasn't. :goodvibes That afternoon, I got more flowers. And so it went...

Like it was yesterday!:flower3:

Me and the wife met at Saturday work program my Senior year in high school, just think Breakfast Club the movie but involving sweeping and pulling weeds.

I asked her out and she said she knew me, turns out she was one of my best friends little sisters. We were Married 5 years later.

Yes, one of my closest friends needed a new car and we went to a car dealership and he helped her buy a car. He actually asker HER out! I had a boyfriend at the time so I didn't even think about it. She and he ended up just friends and I broke up with my b-friend and hung out with them all the time.

He became my best friend. So much so that we finally said, "We either need to get married or never date because we don't want to lose our friendship." We were engaged when we started dating.

Dawn

Yes, it was about 17 years ago, but I can still picture it in my head. I was with my friend at a pub and he was there alone. He wanted to approach me, but didn't think I'd talk to him if he were alone, so he called his friend up and bribed him with beer to come out there.

Blind date - 20 years ago. My roommate gave him my phone number and I was P'd OFF at her! But since he was courageous enough to call, I felt bad and didn't want to turn him down.

We dated on and off for 15 years but were always best friends and EVERY January we always went to Disney together. We have been married for 5.

Nope.
We worked together for 8 years before we started dating, so I don't remember our first time meeting. I do remember he started a few months after me, and I thought he was in high school.

I remember it like it was yesterday, and we will have been married for 20 years this November

We were both at O'Hare (i had missed my connecting flight) working for the same airline and we both happened to be watching the Red Sox on TV standing outside the bar in the concourse. He made an incorrect statement about the baseball game. When I corrected him (like any woman can help herself) he looked at me like I had 3 heads and insisted I was wrong. I handed him my card and told him he could email me his apology once he realized I was correct. As it turns out he was the captain of my next flight and instead of emailing me, he apologized to me over the loudspeaker while welcoming passengers on board American Airlines flight 874. We've been together ever since.

:cutie:

Met my husband on a blind date. My roommate and one of his army buddies set us up for a lunch date, because I didn't want to commit to a whole evening with a guy I didn't know. We had lunch, went out that night, spent that Sunday together-----Been married 21 years now.

I remember the first time I saw him, but we didn't actually meet that day. It was my first day of college sitting in general chemistry and I was checking out the guys as they came in the door. I saw him and thought to myself that I would go out with him if he asked. We had many classes together in college and walked to our cars together sometimes, but didn't actually start dating until after we went to a mutual friend's wedding and got together there (probably 3+ years after the first time I saw him)

We met in March 1988. We worked for the same grocery store chain (Tops). I was an office clerk at one of the stores. He was promoted to assistant manager and transferred to my store. We butted heads a little bit at first, but started seeing each other shortly afterward.

We're celebrating our 19th anniversary next week!

DH and a bunch of his buddies crashed my birthday party 14 years and 6 days ago. We've been married for 13 years.

July 1995 at a sandwich shop, love over honey turkey and cheese hold the tomato.

December 3, 1988 at a friend's house. He was actually intended to be fixed up with one of my co-workers, but when this freind called my nursing unit to get the co-worker's phone #, I happen to answer the phone and kiddingly said "You have a single guy coming to your house and you want to fix him up with her, not me? What am I, chopped liver???"

The friend said "Come on over, I promised him a girl, I didn't promise him who".

The rest, as they say, is history.
