I used to do that because I thought you had to.

Then I read somewhere(maybe here) that you don't need to do that. So, I researched the issue and found out that indeed, you do NOT need to refridgerate peanut butter after opening. So now I don't do that anymore.

I think that you are supposed to refrigerate the natural kind because the oil can go rancid. But regular, Jif-type peanut butter doesn't need to go in the fridge.

I buy Adams Peanut butter.. It does need to be refrigerated.

I once broke up with a guy because he put my peanut butter in the fridge. :rotfl:

There are some natural peanut butters that need to be refrigerated. I would put some in a bowl and nuke it a bit so that it would spread better. Now I get Skippy natural which is nice and smooth and doesn't require refrigeration.

I don't refrigerate mine. I rarely eat peanut butter, but do usually have some in the house. A friend of mine saw it sitting on the counter and commented that it was gross that it wasn't in the fridge.

I want to know who the goofball is that said they don't own a fridge. :lmao:

Yes! I buy the natural kind and I think you should refrigerate that. If I were buying Jif, Skippy, etc. I might not.

Hmmm, not I am craving a peanutbutter and jelly sandwich.

No, peanutbutter in our home does not go in the fridge.

I don't like cold peanut butter. ICK!
