I was wondering if anyone thought I should call before our trip and reconfirm our dining reservations. The Birnbaum book says to "reconfirm", but other than receiving my confirmation numbers over the phone when I made all my ADR's(and there are quite a few), I have never confirmed. I have confirmation letters from Disney for the Magic Your Way pkg with dining and hotel, so I am set there. I just wanted to know how many if any of you confirm all your ADR's. Thanks in advance:flower3:

In all the years we've been going, the only double-checks I do are on our resort rooms and our limo pickup/drop off. Those two items are just TOO important and I don't mind. Otherwise, I've NEVER had anything fall through.:cool1: ASMo June 2008--here we come:thumbsup2

I meant to confirm our ADRs, but never got around to doing it. I had all of our confirmation #s programmed into the calendar on my cell phone, just in case I needed them but I never did. When we checked in at each restaurant, they only asked for our last name and we came right up... we didnt have any problems during our trip 2 weeks ago.

:) I asked my TA if she would do that and she said that there was no need, we have our confirmation numbers.

If you have res at Chef Mickey's I would definately reconfirm.
The Cape May button is too close on their computer!
They once had us at Cape May instead of Chef Mickey's - found out when I called to confirm. We were able to get Chef Mickey's but needed to do some tweaking w/dates and other ARs

I had written down all ADR info by day/date (where, confirmation number). I ask for a print-out as I checked in (at SSR) and they handed me one. It all matched! :goodvibes

After the problem I had 2 years ago, I will call and reconfirm all the ressies for meals. I had reserved the crystal palace and for whatever the reason, the cm reserved the castle...my granddaughter isn't really into the princess thing but really wanted to eat with Pooh...plus the price difference was more that I had figured...so, I won't be disappointed again..

I used to do this but not too long ago there was a thread on the dining board from someone who go there and found everything was cancelled. They ended up figuring out that when she called to confirm, the CM did not back out of her "account" with Dining and the next caller was calling to cancel her reservations. As a result the 1st lady's reservations were cancelled accidentally. That has me 2nd guessing calling to confirm. If I don't call, they won't be "in" my account so the chances of that happening are next to none.

I would confirm everything. I even call the resorts directly to confirm my room preferences. They get all of your info at each resort 5 days in advance. So call within 5 days.

Ok So that's the #1 thing I am afraid of if I were to confirm. Do you know if Disney corrected the problem for that poster. I guess I am leaning more to not confirming. I have all my numbers and the first 4 numbers in them show the date they were made. I can't for the life of me figure out why Disney doesn't send you a copy of your ADR's in the mail. I hope that if they do have something missing they would fix it seeing how it's their mistake and they are the kings of customer service.

Thanks to all who replied:flower3:

When I make and/or change my ADR's I not only note the confirmation number but the persons name I spoke with and the date/time of call. I made a list with the information for our trip. At check-in I ask for a printout (they are happy to oblige) and compared the two. If you are a bit worried to call and confirm for the reasons mentioned, perhaps this might be an option for you? By the way, ours were 100% correct and that was a relief! :thumbsup2

OH yea, I sure do. I've always been a bit wierd that way though. I make ressies, then a couple of weeks later, I try to pick a time that's probably not too busy then re-confirmed all the ADR's I had. My TA is probably tired of hearing from me on the actual trip details also. Then this last week I made the circles again, making sure that what I have written down / typed out is correct. From this point forward, I'll be ok with knowing things are confirmed..
