I'm trying to remember his name, he was very sweet, the best server we've had at WDW. We were there for breakfast in September.

Thanks!

We have been served by him before, I think it was awhile back.
I cant remember ever having bad service at TE. Thats part of the reason we keep going back, the service and the food are great.

Yeah, that's Ken. We usually request him at breakfast. He always knows the weather report.

He is a great server. We have had him several times. I swear he has every park schedule memorized.

My kids say Ken is an animatronic person, because he has such an amazing capacity for details, schedules, tidbits of info. He has superhuman memory!

Ken is awesome and has been at TE for years. when we eat there and don't get Ken we are bummed (although, i have never had poor service at the TE. one of the best values on WDW property.)

That is definitely Ken. When we were there last month we were chatting with him and he said that he had worked at TE for over 20 years now! Wow! He is definitely one of the best servers at WDW ..... not just FW.

We like Ken alot. Our favorite is Donnel. My kids colored and left pictures for Donnel even though he was off when we were there last. I felt bad for the server that day because all they talked about was Donnel.

Ken has the greatest personality for the job he does. He really enjoyed talking with the adults and the kids. So friendly and helpful. We were at FW the week of oct 28/nov5 well actually 8 nights and ate there many times for breakfast and a few dinners and lunch. I commented to the manager about his staff and how enjoyable they made our visits along with the quality of the food. One lady , Josephina{probably spelling error} told me she had been at
WDW for 29 years and looking at her name tag I saw she was from a small town in northeast Florida called Sanderson, the same town my dad was born in. Town only has about 300 residents.

While I have the chance, thank you Diane, Linda, Ed, Ken, Josephina, the chefs, and rest of the staff for a great job.

OH oh... he was our very first server, of our very first meal of our very first trip to WDW :-)

And I still remember him! What a nice guy! :goodvibes

Thanks everyone, I'm trying to get my thoughts and details together to write a trip report and CM appreciation letter. One of my kids thought his name was Tim and another thought he was Ken. He was everything you guys mentioned; I dropped my napkin on the floor and before I could finish rolling my eyes at myself and say 'oh brother' in my mind, he had scooped in and put a new one on the table and the one from the floor was gone. I'm serious, it was a drive by napkining, that's when I new we had a special server. While we were there, a girl came in who was from England and told him that she came in to see if he still worked there, that when she was a baby her parents brought her to eat there, he was great and they loved him. She had her camcorder and asked if she could record a message from him to her parents and he had a very nice message to say to people who came in at least 17 years ago. He was excellent. All we are saying, is give Ken a raise!

Was Josephina the hostess at the entrance podium? If so, I've never eaten at Trail's End and not been greeted by her. Your list is the dream team of Disney Dining :thumbsup2 !

I said to myself "I don't know why I'm going to open this thread, it's not like I'll remember who served us when we last ate there 3 years ago", but by golly, as soon as I saw his smiling face I remembered him! I remember because I was 11 weeks pregnant and camping in a tent with morning sickness 24/7. My fondest memory of that trip was eating the best BIG salad ever at Trails end and having the nicest server who kept our beverages refilled like a pro! :)

I recall back in the early 90's at how impressed I was with the service at TE. I always figure a standard tip of 17-18% for a buffet is silly but these folks work their tails off, and earn every penny of it. They work harder than most servers in regular restaurants ( the ones out in the cold cruel world )

When we were at Sci-fi last March we had great service there. We were hot and thirsty when we came in and everyone guzzled their first drink pretty quickly. Most of the time we have to wait for the second round but this guy was right there with doubles for everyone. He was a riot and one of the best servers we ever had. We made sure and left a note for him at Guest services. It made a very enjoyable lunch even better.

Yes she was the front desk greeter outside and at times did the takeout counter.

I cannot remember EVER being so honored as I have been tonight by reading these wonderful blogs! Please believe me when I say that it is a joy to be able to serve you and it is the guests that visit the Trails End Buffet that make my job a pleasure.

I THANK YOU!

Each day I meet an old friend, make someone smile, greet someone new, laugh and just have a lot of fun. I would hardly call it work because people like you make every day I arrive to my job something that I truly love to do.

I want to wish all of my guests a very happy holidays & I look forward to your next visit! Sincerely, Ken Walley

Wow! You all just convinced me to make a special trip over to the Trails End on our next visit! Wonderful CM's like that truly make your day more magical! :goodvibes

I'm with the above poster--we will be making a special trip to TE & hoping that the 'Dream Team' is there! :sunny:
Even if we don't get lucky, it'll be a pleasure to check out the place where they work their Magic!
