Hi, just thinking about the Webcast, and I can't help but get excited!!:lmao:

Do you really think they will offer any better incentives than those already out there?? :confused3

First of all I was wondering how much cheaper this will make my purchase that is currently going through;) - then I wondered how many extra points I could buy for the difference instead!!:rolleyes1:lmao:

idk, on one hand I think it could be quite significant but then my practical side tells me not as much as I'm hoping it will be....I'm certainly not an expert, this is just mho, but I'm thinking maybe $2 less than what's currently being offered and maybe something else thrown in like gift card or something ike that.
Of course MORE would be fantastic :woohoo:

Can't wait to find out :goodvibes

I was unable to register for any of the webcasts as they were all full :headache:
For those who are registered, can you find out if ONLY those who signed up for the webcast are eligible for whatever discount they offer? I'm wondering if it's a code or "time frame" for the purchase or exclusive to webcast attendants. I can't imagine they would turn away a possible purchase from someone just because they didn't get signed up for the webcast :confused3

Anyway, we have decided on a 100pt add on, but don't know when is the best time to buy. Maybe now depending on this discount :thumbsup2

My guide said it will probably be a few dollars less than the current incentives with a referral. Although in my case, even a $2 saving would be $500. That would pay for the airfare for my first trip.

Any guess as to whether any possible lower cost (or extra perk) will be for all the available resorts, or will it be a perk to try to sell the resorts that are selling more slowly?

Just wondering if they will really reduce pricing at BLT considering how fast it's selling.

The weird thing is, the advertising material that came with the box of goodies, is all about BLT. So it seems they are pushing BLT, which is the opposite of them stopping discounts on it. It will be interesting to see what the webcast brings.

From looking at the material sent in the "goodie" box, it certainly does seem geared towards BLT. I don't have the literature with me, but there was a card that showed an increment of points and a place to take notes - kind of made me think that the incentives might be staggered and increase depending on how many points you purchase.

It seems the focus may be BLT but then again, perhaps BLT booklet was included because it is next scheduled to open....?

:goodvibes

Gosh...do I need to take a laptop for DIS stuff on vacation..

I'm almost sorry for being on vacation for over a month.......but.....
...can somone pulleeeezze tell me what web cast?? what goodie package???

What goodie box? What Webcast? :confused3 I'm still waiting on my 2009-10 planner!!

Did you also notice that the point increments start at 160? Makes me think the webcast will be geared towards first time buyers rather than current members adding on...

I spoke to my guide and was told the webcast was designed for non owners but it got around on the disboards to current owners. Not sure if that is in case true but I didn't get an invite and signed up from what was posted on disboards. I believe they are going to give nonowners the same incentive that owners have or what you get with a referal. I think it is about $8 a pt which would make sense if their target is non owners:confused3

So I bet we don't see anything new. I hope this is not the case as I'm looking to add on and every $1 counts!

Yes I did - lucky for me I am a first time buyer. Haven't signed my papers yet so I have option to start over if these incentives are any better than the ones currently offered : )

We already own at AKV but have been discussing doing a 100 pt add on. Seeing the paperwork that came in our box I'm not sure if the webcast will apply to us (i.e., BLT booklet, 160 pt minimum) but it will still be fun to be involved and see what's going on.

We just purchased at BLT with the referral discount, signed and returned the papers; but I called my guide when I read about the webcast (registration was full when I tried to sign up) and he said they would give us any improvement in pricing/incentives if it turns out to be better than the referral discount so I'm interested as well to see if I'll be getting a few bucks back or some other nice little perk. Hard to imagine it getting much better than the $16/point, but you never know.

I am already a member and got the email, don't know how that worked but probably because right when I was going through the resale process I did sign up for the WDW DVD and it asked if I was interested in DVC which I checked yes so maybe that's why I got the invite :confused3. I'm also torn because we want to add on BLT but we are also going to the Boston show and I don't know where the better prices will be. I guess I could start an add on if the prices look good at the webcast and then change it if the show ends of having better prices:confused3. It's so tough trying to decide when to give them my $$$! :rotfl2:

Some owners did receive email invitation directly - we did & some other members here have posted as well that they did too. Email invitation was sent to my DH - I believe what happened is couple years ago DH took DVC tour & signed in with just his name but our membership has both his name & mine.

:goodvibes

All I know is that I'm winning the free RCI week on Thursday night, so y'all don't worry if you can't make it! :goodvibes
