Do you really need ADR's for breakfast?

If we aren't doing the character breakfast places, how necessary is it to have ADR's for breakfast for places like Spoodles at the Boardwalk or the Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club for the end of June?

With the DxDP I am beginning to feel like making 3 reservations per day is a bit much and it is beginning to take all of the fun and flexiblity out of our vacation. When we travel we like to decide what we what to do each day at the start of the day. But now with the dining plans and needing to get ADR's everywhere flexibility doesn't seem to be much of an option -- well at least if you want your choice of sit down restaurants.

We are traveling with two 6 year olds. I would hate to have 7:00 or 7:30 AM breakfast ADR's only to discover that the kids needed to sleep in.

Can I chance breakfast or would you recommend ADR's for the sit down breakfast places as well?

Hi and welcome to the DIS!:welcome:

The Dining Plan has made ADRs a lot more popular--and necessary--than they used to be. While no one here can tell you for sure whether or not you will need ADRs on at those restaurants (remember--as they say in the brokerage commercials, "past performance is no guarantee of future results!") I would suggest you make them for two reasons:

    1) The end of June is VERY VERY BUSY.

    2) ADRs are free, and you can always cancel them if you change your mind later.

    Enjoy your trip!
