Do you read usernames wrong? Anyone in particular?

I've known for quite a while that it is "four's enough", but I still read phorsenuf as "P-horse enough".

Until I met her in person a couple of years ago I thought Poohnatic was pronounced Poohn attic, but it actually rhymes with "lunatic".

Most people with some variation of "love" and Pooh, Mickey, or Tigger - they all blend into one person to my brain. Same goes for all the "tink" names. Except for the ones like LuvsTink (which I pronounce "Love Stink" .)

Now I'm going to see 4's username as "Horse P enough" Thanks!

Nope - that would only be the case if you were something like "LvsTigr&Belle" . It's the somewhat generic sounding Love/Luv/Lvs plus Mickey/Tigger/Pooh names that throw me off. Nothing against those users; I just tend to get them all mixed up .

I know what you mean! It happens to me. And I mix up some of the "mom" & "dad" names too.

I wish people could misread mine. But it is clear. I never should have used the year of my birth in my name!

not exactly mis-read, but when i saw that thread:

Then when i found out it was one person, i thought you were really 'cool' on the DIS to have a htread all about yourself AND a full PM box!! THEN whenever i would see you post on my threads, i would think YAAAY! i'm cool too! hahah!! isn't that wierd??

Mom22Princesses (I think that's her name)--the first time I saw it I read it as "Mom 22 Princessess" and I went "Wow..shes's got 22 DDs?!?!?"

Probably shouldn't admit this, but I used to always mentally misread Feralpeg as FertilePeg! I was like - man, why is she advertising that fact in her usename???

My username name has been mistaken for HugsForEveryone - like I want the whole world to be in a giant group hug, with no one left behind!!

Your username reminds me that my son knows a boy with a last name that is similar to your username and when he called a few days ago and I saw the caller ID I thought of you. Wondered why you were calling at first until I realized that the DIS does not have my home number. Must be my mushbrain thinking again...

Also, makinorlando, yes, I thought it was makin orlando. Then I read in one of your posts that you moved to Orlando, so I thought your last name was Macsomething & your nickname was Mac, then I wondered why you spelled it mak instead of mac.
