Do you read usernames wrong? Anyone in particular?

I've known for quite a while that it is "four's enough", but I still read phorsenuf as "P-horse enough".

Until I met her in person a couple of years ago I thought Poohnatic was pronounced Poohn attic, but it actually rhymes with "lunatic".

Most people with some variation of "love" and Pooh, Mickey, or Tigger - they all blend into one person to my brain. Same goes for all the "tink" names. Except for the ones like LuvsTink (which I pronounce "Love Stink" :rotfl:.)

Now I'm going to see 4's username as "Horse P enough" :rotfl: Thanks!

I've been pronouncing Poonatic wrong--putting the emphasis on the "na".

Hey, are you saying that I blend in with the others??? :guilty:
:rotfl: about "Love Stink"

Nope - that would only be the case if you were something like "LvsTigr&Belle" :cat:. It's the somewhat generic sounding Love/Luv/Lvs plus Mickey/Tigger/Pooh names that throw me off. Nothing against those users; I just tend to get them all mixed up .

I know what you mean! It happens to me. And I mix up some of the "mom" & "dad" names too.

I wish people could misread mine. But it is clear. I never should have used the year of my birth in my name!

not exactly mis-read, but when i saw that thread:

Tigger&Belle clean out your PMs, i thought it was directed to 2 posters. Tigger & Belle.

Then when i found out it was one person, i thought you were really 'cool' on the DIS to have a htread all about yourself AND a full PM box!! THEN whenever i would see you post on my threads, i would think YAAAY! i'm cool too! hahah!! isn't that wierd??

There've been a couple.
phorsenuf, I thought it used to read 'phor smurf'. :rotfl2:
Mom22Princesses (I think that's her name)--the first time I saw it I read it as "Mom 22 Princessess" and I went "Wow..shes's got 22 DDs?!?!?"

You're right - I always figure you were born in 1961! But it's also how I remember you're a Met fan.

This is fun! Here's another - when I see ckay87, I think of my cousin. Her name starts with a C, kind of rhymes with Kay and she was born in 87.

SimpilotsWife or something like that??

i thought it was simple pilots wife.

i would always think wow, that'sa not too nice to call your husband simple!! :lmao:

 :teeth:

If you only knew the truth--that I'm a packrat! :rotfl2: You can always come post on the PMS thread!

Probably shouldn't admit this, but I used to always mentally misread Feralpeg as FertilePeg! I was like - man, why is she advertising that fact in her usename??? :rotfl: :rotfl:

My username name has been mistaken for HugsForEveryone - like I want the whole world to be in a giant group hug, with no one left behind!! :grouphug:

and I'm not "makin' Orlando" - I'm MAK (my intitials) in Orlando! (because that's were I live!!! )

Guess I should have used - - hyphens. Never have been too imaginative with email addresses, screen names, etc!

Someone who shall remain nameless :rolleyes1 used to think I was bana-NI-em. So I put the bananie M. think in my tag and I think most people get it now.

Your username reminds me that my son knows a boy with a last name that is similar to your username and when he called a few days ago and I saw the caller ID I thought of you. Wondered why you were calling at first until I realized that the DIS does not have my home number. :rotfl2: Must be my mushbrain thinking again... ;)

I used to see Purplern as Purp lern, till I finally took the time to look at it. I now assume she's a nurse whose favorite color is purple.

Also, makinorlando, yes, I thought it was makin orlando. Then I read in one of your posts that you moved to Orlando, so I thought your last name was Macsomething & your nickname was Mac, then I wondered why you spelled it mak instead of mac.

Wouldn't you have DIED if it'd been me? :rotfl:
I admit sometimes I'll see my name in a quote box and think "I didn't post that" and then I realize it says Briarmom.

I'm known everywhere for being a Mets fan. Right now, that's a good thing! :rotfl:

I look at it and say Horse stuff even though I know it's 4's enough. Old habits die hard. :confused3
