Do you read " Go Ask Alice " when you were younger?

How sad is it that I can remember Ralph and I can't remember what I ate for lunch? :rotfl2:

Does anyone remember a creepy movie with a toy horse that kept showing up in places? I also remember a girl falling in a well. I think Andy Griffith was the father.

Oh, my gosh, the Flambards!!! I have them upstairs in my bookcase, along with all of my YA fiction from my Children's Librarian days.

I wanted a chatty cathy but never got one. I didn't have a Mrs Beasley either. I did love my Thumbelina and Chrissy dolls.

Oh and Flatsy dolls and Dawn dolls

I loved my Dawn dolls!!! LOL

Does anyone remember small dolls that came in perfume shaped bottles and smelled like flowers? They were out about that same time...

ETA: On topic ..I did read Alice and it did scare me...

Oh, Pamela Sue Martin - she was in a great movie, reinforcing the idea that teens who had sex ended up dead, usually. She was at a girl's boarding school and she and her boyfriend (Parker Stevenson - remember how yummy he was??!!) planned a weekend away in a HOTEL, no less. They used a condom - I remember being fascinated with what one looked like rolled up in the wrapper, and thinking it was some sort of breath mint you used before you had you know what with a boy - - I think I remember having to ask my older next door neighbor what it was and getting laughed at. PSM ended up fine while the less attractive girl down the hall who was taken advantage of in the backseat by some drunken boy after a party died from her botched abortion. So maybe the moral there was the pretty girl who uses birth control will be ok but the ugly girl who goes to the med student for her abortion will die every time.

God, I cried buckets at that movie...

Sorry I didn't see this sooner - life got in the way.

Anyway, there are two titles to the movie - Our Time or The Death of Her Innocence. The movie is not available on DVD yet, but I have an old copy of it on VHS.

I bawled the first time I saw it, too.

If you want to check out another moral tale of Pamela Sue Martin's from the 1970's, check out To Find A Man.

If you want more info about any of these movies go to www.imdb.com

Was that a little wooden horse that was finally tricked into a box with a mirror, so it would think that its partner was there? I think it was seeking revenge after its partner had been destroyed.

If it is, I'm ashamed to admit that nothing has ever frightened me ever as that story with the horsey......I had forgotten all about it until now.....I think I'm afraid to go to bed....... :scared1:

Did you ever see White Line Fever starring Kay Lenz and Jan-Michael Vincent? That's one of my favorite cheesy 70's movies.
