Do you put milk in your jello?

We grew up pouring milk into our jello, stirring it up and eating it. We drank the flavored, colored milk at the end. Anyone else do this? The family members who do this are all French(American).

I know some people add milk to their pudding. Wondering I this is a Polish thing-so far only my Polish (American) friends do this.

Never heard of adding extra milk to either jello or pudding after they are made and eating it. Of course I use milk when making pudding and I've added whipped cream (but no milk) to jello before it sets.

It's similar to whipped cream - dairy on jello. Does that gross you out?

Never heard of it either, but when my kids were little and had a bout of diarherra, the pediatrician suggested making jello using all hot water and let it cool just a little for them to drink. Actually pretty good.

We always put milk on our jello when we were young. I suppose I'd do it now if I wanted jello.

Never heard of doing either and I have some French on my Mom's side and my dad is Polish.

I don't put whipped cream on Jello either.

Yes, all the time, Mom use to make little cubes of Jello and we'd pour on the milk. :) Not bad at all very similar to adding real whipped cream. Haven't had it like that lately.

Awesome memory! Yes, we used to have milk and jello as kids.
Noticed above poster from Philly did it. We started in NE Philly and moved to South Jersey. Could it be a regional thing like glorious scrapple? Thanks!

No never...and I'm kind of horrified at the thought of it. Never used whipped cream either. Grosses me out.

Never put milk over Jell-o tho our family shares a recipe of mandarin oranges in Jell-o letting it set then spreading whipped cream also they put mini marshmallows in jello. I can see where milk may could mix ;) Extra milk in pudding doesn't sound as tempting but only because I like thick pudding ;)

I've never heard of anyone doing that. Sounds yucky to me. (I don't like whip cream on stuff either).

NY here I always had jello with milk mixed in when I was a kid, good memories.
