Do you pre-purchase memory maker for park pictures when booking trip?

We have never used it before, but now with new ride technology available (like on Haunted Mansion ), we are thinking about it. If you purchase the package, are all the photo pass and ride pictures yours to keep? Or do you still buy individual pictures? What about the videos like on Tower of Terror, yours to keep?

Thanks!

When you buy MM, you get digital images of all ride photos, ride videos, and photos taken by PP photographers. There is no ride video or photo for HM though. Ride videos are at 7DMT and ToT.

Thanks! I thought there was something with Haunted Mansion using Magic Bands or something, who knows what I read.

I pre purchased Memory Maker last year when I booked our trip. We got lots of great pictures. I felt it was well worth the cost. The cast members took amazing pictures of my daughter at the Character meet and greets, so that was a bonus in addition to getting the ride pictures! I made certain to use photo pass photographers anywhere we could to get the most of our purchase too. We are going again this Christmas and have purchased it again.

I personally don't buy it because the cast members will take the same exact picture on your own phone. As a courtesy, I always let them also take it with there's and add it to my band just incase I actually do wanna buy it ( which I never have ).

We bought it on the last 2 trips and felt it was well worth it. Last time (2014) we had a lot of things planned - jedi training, pirate makeover, BBB and of course it was Star Wars weekends. We got a lot of great photos - and yes, you get to download all the photos and videos that they take - plus you can add borders and more to the photos if you want. I think it was worth it last time and went ahead and bought it this time. (Cheaper to do in advance.)

We did pre-purchase and we will again. Yes, all photos are included. We even had videos from rides and animated magic shots. We love Memory Maker!

There have been tons of rumors that a photo showing the hitchhiking ghosts added to your doom buggy is to be added.

We were told by Memento Mori CM's last Christmas that they keep hearing something like that is in the works. Maybe they were just saying that to encourage us to rebook trips regularly? Whatever the reason, that there eventually may be a photo from that point would be the most likely occurrence, I'd think.

As complex as HM is reported to be behind the scenes, it would possibly require a massive renovation to incorporate much equipment. Disney techs regularly work marvels, though, so who knows? I certainly don't but really REALLY hope at least a photo will eventually be available.

Memory Maker is fabulous, we think, but then we're lazy and don't want to mess with taking photos when the PhotoPass photographers do that better anyway.

One more benefit of MM is Magic Shots. Ask a PP photographer which they can do, and they usually offer a choice of two or three although not all can do these. They're great fun! Things like Olaf dancing beside you, Stitch popping up out of the pavement at your feet, or Tink poised on your open palm.

One of my favorites was the one we got in front of the big GF lobby Christmas tree. The photographer told DH to pinch his thumb and index finger overhead as if holding a ribbon as we kissed. The "magic" added a bundle of mistletoe bound by a pretty ribbon. A very Merry Disney photo!

For us, Memory Maker/Photopass is simply part of the cost of a trip to WDW. We get it every single trip and have never regretted it.

And my husband is a semi-pro photographer. He works with a local studio when he's not teaching. The most expensive things "we" own are his camera equipment. But Memory Maker is STILL well worth it to us.

We did not buy it for our first trip (mainly cuz it was the first time I had ever been there and was pretty overwhelmed with everything. So I didn't even give it a second thought) but man I wish I had. I ended up spending about 60 bucks in pictures anyway and wanted more of them. We bought it for our last trip and felt it was absolutely worth it. I got fantastic pictures and didn't have to worry about asking the cm to take pictures with our phone. They just snapped away and we were done. Took any stress about it away(I tend to be high stress) I won't go again with out it.
