Do you pool hop?

That's not permitted. POFQ and POR, being sister resorts, allow you to use each other's pools, but other than that, you can only go to the pool(s) at your resort.

Pool hopping is not allowed. Only DVC owners during certain times of the year are allowed to pool hop.

Only when we're staying using our DVC points and hopping is allowed. During those times I really have a lot of fun using the pools at other resorts.

You can pool hop between the diffrent all stars also. we once stayed where our room was closer to sports pool than our music, and were told we could use the pool at sports.

Nope. I hate the pool and turn a bright red, even if I use sunscreen thanks to my Dutch and German genes.

If you stay at the cabins...are there any other pools you can visit? We are going in Dec..may not even be warm enough to swim but my DD wants to swim with a slide.

At the Deluxe resorts, they regularly check resort ID's at the pool area, particularly when it's busy. We stayed at the YC one year, and it was annoying--just wanted a quick swim and the Pool Police were everywhere! I had to trudge a half mile back to the room and get my resort card!

They have never checked my ID at the value resorts. If they have checked people's ID's at the value resorts I have never heard of it. But I am not surprised that they check ID's at the Deluxe resorts, because they are Deluxe resorts not value resorts and also when I was walking in the Grand Floridian I saw a sign by one of the pools that said something like you must have your resort ID with you to swim in this pool.

be careful that u don't get flamed. lots of ppl on the dis get very uptight about this issue

We will be staying at the Port Orlean Riverside and they said we can share the pool at Port Orleans French Quarters. They said because they are siter resorts. I would assume that All stars are sister reorts, too. I also think that there isn't a reason to check for Id's at value. The reason we are going to the moderate is to have a slide. If we could pool hop we would be at the 200 foot one with a giant clown face :woohoo: . But there isn't any way we can justify paying that much a night to have that pool. We could pay less and go to the water parks for more than a day.

I'm too lazy to pool hop. I would rather just throw my suit on in my room, grab my towel and go to my resort pool. If I forget or need anything I can just dash back to my room. Hopping to any other pool would require packing a bag, etc. Too much work for me. Of course, I wouldn't do it anyway as it is against the rules. :sunny:
