Do you plan fantasy trips?

Right now I don't have a trip in the works and I am in serious withdrawal. The last trip was August 06. I'm hoping to go again August 08, but right now it is just fantasy stage.

But I keep playing with my fantasy vacation.

Dates
Drive or fly (from NJ)
Where to stay.
Should we go to Universal this time too? We've never been there and I'm wondering if it is time.

I keep looking at the calendar and thinking about -- if we leave this date and drive we would be there then -- then we would leave this day and drive home. I even looked at some site to calculate the cost of fuel for the trip (which I know would change.) I've looked at flights too.

Oy -- think it's time to talk to DH about maybe making some plans for real.

Does anyone else do this?

Yes.... does that mean we need help. I am going at Christmas time (in my head) Where should I pretend to stay? Or maybe I should go in June and stay at Beach Club... stormalong bay in June that would be fun.

Does anyone else buy or add on to DVC in your head too? Resort, Use year, how many point... when you would use your points for the 1st time.

Maybe I do need a little help or Disney detox :thumbsup2 :goodvibes :lmao:

This made me laught out loud because that's exactly what I do....right now I am fake planning May '08 and Dec '08, maybe I should pick one and plan a real trip!!

Yes, I do this, too. The result, though, has been annual trips since 2004. Once I get to planning the "pretend" trip, I just can't stand the thought of it NOT happening and I talk DH into it:).

My sister lives near WDW, so visiting her is part of the deal. She is also my favorite person to go to Las Vegas with, and my 45th birthday is coming in 2009. We celebrated my 35th and 40th birthdays in Vegas, and I am determined to do it again. We were talking about that idea one day and I came up with this whole elaborate fantasy plan about going to WDW with my family for a week, leaving DH and the kids at WDW for a few days and flying to Vegas with my sister, then meeting up with my family for a few more days at WDW. It really was just a fantasy at that moment....but the more I thought about it, the more real it became.

So, I told DH that he will have to take care of the kids for a few days for my 45th birthday, and he can do that at home or in Florida........he chose Florida:).

I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one. I've been looking at info for Universal/Islands of Adventure because I've never been there and my knowledge of the place is a bit dated. Gonna make myself crazy for a trip that doesn't even exist. :lmao:
