Do you own other time shares or vacation properties?

My husband and I own points at SSR and BLT and are very happy with those purchases. We live in Canada and finally have gotten our 2 dd's skiing. We just enjoyed a great ski wknd at Blue Mountain in Collingwood. They sell vacation properties that you can have in their rental pool and there is also a Club Intrawest on the property. My husband is hot to buy a resale vacation 2 bedroom that we would have in the rental pool to help cover costs but I am struggling to see what our best route would be.

I looked into Club Intrawest and calculated that I need about 200 points for a 1 week stay during ski season. Their points about $200/pt and $6.10 a pt maint. fees. Just seems really expensive for 1 week of skiiing to me so that's out.

Are there any other time shares that I should look at that have good value before we take the plunge and purchase. With the ability to exchange with RCI through Disney should I just buy more DVC points or look at RCI directly?

any thoughts would be appreciated. what has worked for you?
thanks

The problem with CI is you do not have a home resort priority if I understand correctly. Go to TUG @ www.tug2.net and ask the question there. You should be able to find several people very knowledgeable about the area in question. Also go to II and RCI and see what timeshares are in the areas you prefer.
