do you or would you wear jewlery to the parks i dont mean coustume jewlery and something other then your wedding ring i received dimiond earrings and a anniversy ring from my husband and im thinking that it is probly best not to take it whats your opinion?

I usually only wear my wedding ring, but that's only because I'm a real minimalist when it comes to jewelry. I can't think of any reason to not wear your jewelry if they make you happy. :goodvibes

Honestly, I would leave them at home. I usually don't even bring my wedding ring to Disney World. I might bring them if we're doing a really nice signature dinner that I'm dressing up for, but only if we'd be changing at the hotel right before and after the meal. The amount of enjoyment I'd get from having them at Disney World wouldn't be worth the devastation if something happened to them at the parks. If you're worried about your finger feeling "naked" where you're used to wearing your rings, you could consider getting a cheap ring (even a fake cheap one at Walmart would do) to wear when you're at Disney.

But I've since realized, there's really no reason not to... I don't dig around in the dirt, I don't wrestle people or characters (though at times am quite tempted to do so;))so I wear all my jewelry (engagement ring, eternity ring, bracelet, watch diamond earrings and pendant--my good jewelry is my everyday jewelry and visa versa) b/c it makes me happy:love:

I just wear what I wear daily usually --- my wedding rings, watch and my gold necklace it's rare I wear more than that even at home other than a bracelet which i lock up as to not lose it.

I love to wear my jewelry at WDW. Especially Disney inspired items like my retro Minnie watch, Mickey head necklace, etc. I'm not really a jewelry wearer at home but definitely do at WDW.
:thumbsup2

I wear watches that cost in excess of $10,000 and have never even come close to having a problem, same with my wife.

i normally wear my diamond earrings and wedding band everywhere, but i lost a diamond earring (my DH gave them to me, best gift he EVER bought!) last june at either DHS or epcot, so from now on, except for the wedding band, i'm leaving my jewelry at home.

I've never had a problem at Disney. I wear my diamond/saphire earrings and necklace, wedding rings, ruby ring and pandora bracelet. I've never had a problem!

I have diamond earrings that went in my ears on my 10th anniversary and haven't come out since. My pair before these were in for 15 years (except for cleanings) so yeah, my daily jewelry stays with me. I don't wear my wedding ring at home (my job would ruin it) so don't bring it with me to the parks. I'm a minimalist when it comes to accessories so leave it all behind.

I take off my ering, wedding band and diamond band and lock it in the safe before going to the parks. I am a ring fiddler and would hate to drop any of them on a ride.

My ering is a vintage Old Mine Cut, and not easily replaceable, so I would be heart broken if I lost it.

Unless your bungee jumping or wrestling with the kids, I guess there is no more risk than going to your local supermarket. Enjoy youyr vacation. :cool1::banana:

I wear my everyday jewelry to the park and have never had a problem. However, the back of one of my earrings always tries to slip off so I'm in the habit of checking it often and I make a point of checking a bit more often at Disney...usually before and after every "rough" ride (the mountains, Everest, RnRC, etc.)

I wear my diamond/sapphire rings at WDW, just because I wear them at home and they're hard to come off. I bring costume necklaces and bracelets because they're much easier for me to lose. I'd be devastated if I lost the "good" stuff.

I wear diamond studs, my wedding and engagement and anniversary band in the parks. No problems in 7 trips!

A few years ago I was at a theme park (not Disney) and was wearing a rain poncho. When I took the hood off, it somehow pulled the back off of one of my earrings and I lost that earring. I filled out a form at the lost and found, but I knew that was going to be a waste of time. It's a good thing that the diamond wasn't real, but the gold was 14K. I would have been crushed to lose a 4 carat diamond. Now I still wear jewelry, but make sure that the earrings are leverbacks.

I wear anything I'd normally wear on a daily basis. The only time it was a problem was at Disneyland when I was on the Indiana Jones ride. I held on to the handlebars so tight, I flattened the backs of my rings against my fingers. I took them to a jeweler and had them reshaped and buffed out.

Now, I learned the hard way that you should not wear your jewelry while snorkling in the Carribean. My ring slipped off in the water in the Cayman Islands while we were swimming with the stingrays. The water wasn't so deep we couldn't dive down and get it, but it was freaky coming eye to eye with the rays.

I wear watches that cost in excess of $10,000 and have never even come close to having a problem, same with my wife.

I have tried losing my kids there, but for some reason that doesnt work well either

I wear my wedding band (engagement ring at home), diamond stud earrings & my cross necklace.
That's all the jewelry I ever wear anyways unless I am going out fancy. I have kids now so that happens like...never :rolleyes1
