Do you obsess over making ADR's at mediocre restaurants?

Well, where you may feel as though it's mediocre, I guess I "obsessed" over our ADR's because it's going to be my DD's first time at Disney World. It's not so much the food as it it "the experiences". For us, it's going to be magical to see her having dinner with a Princess, or Pooh or Mickey Mouse. princess:

I think calling the food at Disney mediocre is a bit judgemental and a bit unkind. I also think that diners can have completely different experiences based on the server or the night. Some people, like myself, like the restaurants there and what might be mediocre to you might not be to someone else. But I think to make a blanket statement about everyone obsessing over mediocre restaurants is simply an unkind statement. :confused3

We enjoy sitting down as a family. We enjoy spending time together. I will enjoy immensely watching my child get giddy with excitement the first time she sees Winnie the Pooh. I don't care what's on my plate at that point. Sometimes, it's not all about eating at the best that money can buy. Sometimes it's about the love that eating a meal together can bring a family.

If that makes me obsessive because I want to make some mediocre sunshine for my daughter, then call me obsessive. I'll wear it as a badge of honor.

I totally agree. We're taking Kate for the first time in Feb. This is really the first trip to WDW where I really care a whole lot about where we eat. It's not about the food-it's about my three year old granddaughter seeing Pooh, and Tigger, and the Little Einsteins, etc. Hey it's buffet food-I'm not expecting chateaubriand-I probably would still go if it was PB&J and strawberry milk. Well, except for Jiko-that's for me!
