Do you need your magic band to take magical express back

Does my son in law need his magic band to take the magical express bus back to the airport from Pop?
I wasn't sure if you had to have it scanned to get on the bus or not?

He has to have been on the reservation at Pop and if that is the case he would have the MB. Either way he doesn't need the MB as you should receive a piece of paper with return credentials.

No MB needed but you do need a reservation and a voucher to board the bus on the return trip as this is by reservation and often times the buses are full! You will receive this voucher with your departure time under your door the day prior to your flight.

IME the driver will check the departure time and number of passengers to be sure your on the correct bus.
