to eat at a sit-down restaurant in a park? I thought that you did, but a friend is telling me that's not the case.
Thanks!

Yes, you do need to pay to enter the parks to eat at the sit down restaurants. I belive the only exception is RFC @ AK, as it has a separate entrance.

Yes, you have to have park admission and they remind you of that everytime you make an ADR at a restaurant inside a park.

When they call to make an ADR, the CM should say park admission is required. They do everytime I make an ADR for a TS restaurant located in the parks.

Thanks all - I knew I was right! :rolleyes1

Yes, but I heard you can get into the park to shop for free. :scared1:

I heard/read somewhere that someone wanted to buy something they saw the other day but had no more days left on their pass. They talked to a CM & apparently (I suggest checking with a CM before trying) you can by a one-day pass, go in & buy whatever it is you want & as long as you get back out with the receipt in 30 minutes you get your money reimbursed. :confused3

Don't know if it's true, but if it is, it's good to know.

Anyone ever heard about this?

I had heard about it as something that was done quite some time ago but no more.

To get into any of the parks, even for dining, you must have a valid ticket. And, for example, if you had been at AK during the day and had a reservation for dinner in an Epcot restaurant you would have to have the hopper option on your ticket.

At TL we will take a credit card imprint and give you a 30 minute shopping pass. If you do not return to Guest Relations by the end of the 30 minutes you will have bought one day water park tickets and they will have been run through the turnstile.

You absolutely need park admission to dine anywhere inside the parks. Resort dining however does not require park admission.
