I am looking into buying DVC and now in the process of searching a suitable resale contract. I have been told that you can do this from overseas and they can just send you the contract to sign by email.fax or post.
Now my question is, do you need a notarized signature as a buyer ? Or a witnessed signature ? Thanks ?

I believe only the seller has to have it notarized.

I'm in the middle of the ROFR process (buying), but I'm also under the impression that only the seller needs an NP. :confused3

Certainly hope so as it's a wee bit expensive not to mention a bit of a hassle to sort!

Thank you all for the answers. Glad to know I don't need to arrange for notarization !

I can't speak to the UK rules, but when I've bought sold DVC only the seller needs to get notarized.

Good luck with your hunt for a contract, what are you looking for ? Lots of great deals out there !

Hmmm... I haven't seen any good deal yet.... I am looking for a small contract ...around 100 points. As for the resort, we don't really mind as we usually are late planners and can never book 11 months out. I think either OKW or SSR will do. Also interested in BLT if price is right.

They are compared to buying direct. BLT not so much but AKL around $65 a point.:confused3
