I really dont understand my neighbors

Plowing is part of our "rent"....

Our yard, houses 10 cars, 2 in each apartment. I have 2, and each other apartment has 2.

Last friday- I moved my car in line with the other's, so the plow guy could come right in plow the main part, then I figured I'd move it back so he could plow out the line.

He comes, I move out of his way etc.. while I'm out there, I clean off MUDNURI, which takes about 1/2 hour- its running the entire time, I move that outta his way etc... He was probably here for 45 minutes. This happened about 2-3pm, as it was the time DD's left for dads

During this time, neighbor 2, 3, and 4 were home

Do ya think they moved their cars? Heck no....then they complain cause there is snow around their cars... DUH...the guy was here!

Before we bought our tractor, when the plow guy got to our house, I would have the cars/trucks already cleaned off and ready to move for him....I just thought you were SUPPOSE to!

Just happened again

My Passat and MUDNURI moved, and 1 neighbors van.

that left a truck, van and 2 cars. the other guy isnt home.

Now the truck and van people live below me, they're home I can hear em

and the 2 cars live in the other house- they're home I can see their kids running round

Plow guy had to dance between cars, and they will end up taking my spots cause they're plowed out when I leave the jerks.

I hate lazy people!

thank you...

as a landlord and the plow person it is aweful!

We had a tenant who would call us before 6am because she needed to get plowed out to go to work :earseek:
well DH was already out plowings so all she succeeded in doing was waking me and the kids up!

subsequently I looked into it is not the landlords legal responsibility to plow out - but only to make sure all walk ways are shoveled and clear...
(i know when I was a tenant I had a handy dandy thing called a shovel to get myself outta the yard and off to work!)

but ya we have lazy tenant who don't move and then get mad because there is more snow around them than before :confused3

When I lived in my town home, the association plowed the street, parking lots, and shoveld the sidewalks/doorways. As a courtesy, they'd also plow our driveways. The association was very clear. Your driveway would ONLY be plowed if your driveway was car-free when the plow truck came by. If a car/truck was in the way, too bad, he wasn't coming back. It's amazing how people who's garages are filled with too much junk 99% of the year to park their cars, suddenly find space when snow is forcasted...

In our lease, plowing is included so it is the owners responsibility, but it SHOULD also be in our lease that if you dont move you get towed. Thats how I feel!

Sure enough, I left the passat out of the way of the plow incase he comes back, and the guy who WAS home, left and came back, parked where i park 100% of the time. now granted, its not "my" spot, but we all park in the same place EVERY single time we come home....and of course, he takes mine!

Oh that irritates me!

On another note, it's in our lease that its our responsibility to shovel different area's- 2 that i can think of are the walk to the laundry room and the walk to the trash room. I shovel the laundry room, and the woman with the van that moved, shovels the trash room. The other 5 people, dont do a damn thing.

And everytime I've gone outside today to move the car, or run to the store etc.. I've shoved the porch and steps off. Shovels right there, and if we all did it each time, it would take about 32 seconds!

UGH!

When my mother was living in a retirement community it was MANDATORY - and if you didn't, they levied a fine against you..

Being from an area with not really any snow to speak of (unless it's from a snow making machine), I was thinking of a garden plow...:rotfl2: Yes, I'd definately move if someone were plowing a garden. If someone were driving around the Houston area with a snow plow, I'd also move because, I'd want to get out of the way of a -nut.

I don't have a car, but I do have a quick question, what's a "MUDNURI"?

They should plow at a time when there is the least amount of cars in the lot like when people are at work. But when we lived in a Apt, on the weekends we would try to watch so we could move our cars, when they were plowing.

easier said than done when you have a group of people who all work different shifts and the plow driver has other work to do too!

You park in the fields? before you plow? what, from a party the night before in the barn

Oh, you mean :cold:

well, considering that apt 1 next door is a stay at home mom, apartment 2 here is a stay at home mom, and myself and apartment 2 next door are students with weird schedules...theres only 3 people who normally work "normal hours"

And then consider my landlord has approx 55 apartment buildings to have plowed out....

then consider- it started snowing at 2am....should he wait till AFTER they leave for work or before? Should he plow in the middle of the storm or wait till the end?

Then consider all of my neighbors except one were just too damn lazy to get off their butt and move their car!
