So there I was, straight, hated techno, and couldn't dance at ALL.
Then I went to Disney...

Ok well I can still do Thriller but no one ever admits they like MJ until I start doing it. THEN they remember
No clubs, just the world record for most bars on one street and the world's largest six pack(neither of which I'm proud of)

So needless to say, my desire for Techno and clubs is not well met where I live. That's when I came across boystownlive.com
it's 24/7 streaming techno remixes! It's great! So if you like techno and wanna groove in your office chair or you're hosting a party, crank it up!

My partner and I were just discussing this topic a few nights ago....after spending nearly every night in a Dallas Bar during my 20's...3 or more nights during my 30's....to maybe 3 nights a year in my 40's....NO don't miss the bars at all....we really enjoy entertaining in our home, being at other friends homes or countless other options thana loud, crowded bar....Not that I have a strong opinion

We live just south of Chicago so we can go to any number of great gay clubs. We DO go, on occasion. My partner loves to dance. However, as we get older it seems we go rarely and would rather have dinner parties and fun with friends at home.

On a different note, I am from the Orlando area and had an AP to PI for years before I moved, and I do miss those times.

I had such a burning desire for the bars when I came home because I wasn't 21 yet and I missed PI. Then I turned 21 and did my best to deal with the gay bar as it was. After going back to Disney and being in the clubs, I have NO desire to go to any of the bars including the gay one. I want crazy lights, a rotating dance floor, and speakers 2 stories high pulsating to techno, not a dance floor that's 12X12 playing soulja boy(don't even get me started)

That's why I like boystownlive, cuz it plays some of the toons mannequins plays and it makes me smile and remember.

Oh well, in a year I'll be down there for good. Boy what I wouldn't do to go down over gay days...

I was a fixture at JR's for ever....I miss the Dallas bars....bars out here just not the same....but my favorite was the Round Up.....white starched shirts, cowboy hats, tight fittin' jeans, and boots....makes me tear up a bit just to think about those men!

I went to Sue Ellen's several times....they use to have a volley ball court in the back (dating myself)....don't know if they still have "Crusing the Crossroads", but Sue Ellen's was always good for a drink.....
