"Do You Mind?" - Disney Adventures with Teens August Trip Report

Love your purchases.

I think it's so funny that Katie told you to wear a bra with the dress :lmao:
I've been blessed in the hoo haa department. If I went bra-less, I think I'd be arrested.

Yesterday, Jo placed the order for Mom's birthday gift. Remember, she was going to get her a bag to carry at WDW that is NOT a fanny pack?

Mom picked out her bag. She wanted something that is sorta waterproof on the inside and that is just big enough to carry a water bottle.

She picked this one:

It's a Baggalini Urban Backpack. It's khaki on the inside and really cute. It should be delivered here to my house on August 1st.

Yay! Mom's going to be stylin'!

Cute dresses!!! They do look really comfortable!

I think anywhere on Disney property, no one is going to bat an eye if you are taking pics of the food.

Your mom's bag is so cute!!! I love it.

I will take pics. I was thinking about that today. Are there some restaurants (bluezoo, California Grill) where it is inappropriate behavior to take photographs of your food? What do y'all think?

My friend takes pics of food everywhere, including Nobu and Peter Luger. She wants to be a chef so she takes them for reference. She says she wants presentation ideas. Tell the waitstaff that you want to be a chef :lmao:

Thanks! They are really cute. And I am aiming for comfort. Katie doesn't hold back! :lmao: I have also been blessed (enough, if you ask me) and things don't necessarily stay where they belong anymore. Maybe that's why she made the comment.

Thanks - I hope they are breezy and comfy when I'm in the sweltering heat and humidity.

I will take food pics for sure!

Your mom's bag is so cute!!! I love it.
I think it's very fashionable and practical all at once. :thumbsup2

Great idea! I will tell them I am there doing research. Do you think they'll give me a discount if I tell them I'm there to write a review? :confused3

Of course!!

I'm with you. I like him anyway. I love the scruffy beard. Not so sure about the hairy arms though. I bet you a lapu lapu he has had laser hair removal on his arms by now. :lmao:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I bet he's had his leg hair removed also.

So today, I:

- Picked up some of Caitlin's paperwork for the trip - birth certificate, insurance card. I still need the "Consent for Domestic Travel", but both parents has not signed it. It's still a relief to have at least these documents. Also, Caitlin will need to bring her school photo ID. She'll bring that next Thursday when she comes to stay the night with us.

- Located my extra camera battery. It's on the charger. I thought I had an extra memory card, but I don't. So that is now added to my to-do list - getting another card. I think I'll get Katie one also.

- Did a dry-run for my ship-ahead box. I will do the final run next Sunday, remotely, and send the airbill to Chris via email to attach to the box. He will then ship it for me Monday the 4th.

- Added a power strip/surge protector and neosporin to the ship-ahead box.

- Decided to keep both pieces of luggage until we know how much we're packing. If we don't use one of them, I will return it after the vacation.

Non-Disney things done:
- Laundry (well, that is sorta-Disney b/c it's the last time some of the vacation clothes will be washed)
- Burned the last of our CDs. I have been burning these all along, simultaneously with my DISing, while at the home computer. Now our entire library is on an external drive. Chris plans to create a media server. I'm very excited about having finished this!
- Toured a few model homes and neighborhoods with Jo.
- Plotted and drove Jo's route to her new job. She has to be there at 8am tomorrow.
- Grocery shopped. Mostly for spaghetti fixins. (Also somewhat Disney related b/c I got the power strip :thumbsup2 )
- 30 minutes elliptical - Yay me!

I am so tired. I have a 9am workout, so I am thinking of going to bed. The rest of the planning, packing and sorting will have to wait.

I'm exhausted just reading your list. What's the power strip for?
I am an exhausting kind of person. I wish I could slow down.

The power strip - I read somewhere to bring one so everyone would be able to plug in their curling/flatting irons, cell phone charges, computer adapters, camera chargers, etc. It was about $5 so I went ahead and bought and packed it.

Hope you're enjoying Wine Country.
Not yet. Showing your impatience, again? :)

I leave on a 9am flight tomorrow. I have had 2 days of sunrise-to-sunset local conferences here. Now I'm home, trying to pack, but it's killing me. I just want to lie down and sleep.

:jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1:
10 Days!!!
:jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1:

This is the LAST day of double digits!

I am on my way to San Francisco this morning.

Mom and Katie are at home, taking care of appointments and keeping Jo's kids occupied.

Yay, 10 days!

I just realized you will be in WDW when we are on our own vacation, which we are still finalizing! (Madison, WI and the Wisconsin Dells, staying at the Kalahari - that stay is reserved, but we haven't reserved a hotel in Madison yet.)
