"Do You Mind?" - Disney Adventures with Teens August Trip Report

You got a lot done today.

I wonder if you could just call Garden Grocer to add the trail mix.

You are FAR more organized. I have all of the trip stuff in an envelope. Maybe I should get a binder to organize stuff. Hmmm maybe I'll stop at Staples tomorrow after my rendevous with the dentist.

How is the UG's website?

The DIS does seem slow. Or I'm extra hyper :lmao:
I feel like I got nothing done today. Did not get my bills paid, did not file, did not do laundry, did not shop for the golf capris I need.

But I did tan, I did burn about 30 CDs to our external drive (we are converting to a media server, burning all of our CDs). I did eat! HA!

I don't think I'll worry about the trail mix. We have plenty of food as it is. They also didn't have Reeses PB cups, which I wanted to order for Katie. It's her feel-good treat. I get them for her when she's ill. Such a great mom! :)

You can do it with an envelope. You don't have to have a binder. But my friends who were over here playing poker over a bottle of SKYY by the pool last night thought I was nuts when I broke out the binder. They said "you have a pre-made scrapbook, don't you?"

If you get a binder, you need a 1.5 inch one. The 1 inch is too short. Isn't that true in all tracts of life? :rotfl2:

Is the dentist as hot as George?

UG website is decent for 7.95 fee. That's cheap. It's not the easiest to navigate, but has lots of useful info. It's worth the price to me. TGM is good too, but I wish he'd just publish a friggin' book. Printing all this stuff is a PITA.

DIS=slow. What's it gonna take to scott back on my PTR? I have a feeling he'd enjoy it.

I have to report this.

Joann (my sister) called me today (or did I call her?). She said she's been reading my PTR and she is with me and will NOT stand for Mom sporting that oh-so-fashionable fanny pack she intends to wear.

So Mom's birthday is August 8th. The day we leave for Memphis. Joann has (thankfully) instructed Mom to find the coolest messenger bag or other carrying device. She is going to buy it for Mom's birthday gift.

Yippee!!!

Now we won't be embarrassed by mom's fanny(pack). And the pictures that last for eternity thereafter.

Can we get her to commit not to do the spontaneous dancing in World Showcase? Sister, can you give her a birthday gift to prevent THAT? :rotfl:

I already know. I will say "I don't know that woman." Then Chris and I will promptly announce that we're going to take a tour somewhere. ;)

Wow! There was a lot of chatting on here today -- do I sense some growing excitement!!! ;)

And I just have to laugh about the whole canasta thing that started over on Jen's thread, because we actually have played a lot of canasta (the actual card game), but now I can never mention that because everyone would be like :scared1: ! :rotfl:

I haven't gotten much done since summer started :lmao:

You could always pack a bag of trail mix and get PB cups at the resort. I would not advise carrying chocolate in the Florida heat :scared1:

:lmao: Do you have a premade scrapbook?

I'm thinking of organizing everything in the binder in those see through plastic page sleeves. This way I won't have to fish around a disorganized folder. I am not this organized in my everyday life. I don't balance my checkbook or even record all of the checks I write or debit card purchases I make. My mom works in banking and cringes whenever I tell her.

I'll get the 1.5'' . It is true in all tracts of life :lmao:

My dentist is not hot at all. He's very sweet, but not hot.

I'm going to subscribe to the UG website today. It's so cheap, so why not?

I agree with you about TGM. A book is so much more practical. Then people can just take the book with them.

So glad to hear your mom will get a new bag for her birthday.

Wow, you've been busy! I hope Tate recovers well. I see you solved your ME dilemma. I think you could very easily wear business casual on the plane and not have to pack anything extra. I think they just mean not casual casual, not really business-y. We just packed out swimsuits in our carry-ons - I really loved not having to do baggage claim!

Oh, and cute clothes! Must. Not. Go. Shopping...

Susan,

I hope Tate heals quickly! I have no clue what canasta is:confused3 Does that make me a dork?:rotfl: Let me know how Garden Grocer works out, might have to try that on our next trip!:thumbsup2 Big Thumbs up to Jo for buying mom a "cool bag" for her birthday:thumbsup2

I don't know what canasta the actual card game is, but I have a pretty good idea of what "canasta" is code for. :rotfl:

well your trip is close so I will sign up again. I just cannot do the ones that are so far out. I am a little busy lately. :rolleyes1

so what did I miss.

I will do my responses tonight.

And I have some NEWS!!!

Just more George Michael talk and lots of canasta.

no one here has a chance of canasta with George, until now. :rotfl2:

well time be "well you know".
What's the definition of dirty, baby?
What do you consider pornography?
Don't you know I love you 'til it hurts me baby....
