Do you make the airline arrangements first or DVC reservation first? (m)

We always book DVC first then watch the airfares. Delta has a great fare sale right now thru March of 05 and I was able to book our December trip for $147 per person included all taxes.

dvc res first, always, preferebly at 11 month window, always 11 out for annual early dec trip, we book our other 2 as soon as we decide when
fortunate to have 4 airports within reasonable distance, just have to decide which to use
islip - easiest, 30 minute drive, southwest 3x daily direct
jfk - 2nd choice, train to jamaica, airtrain to jet blue terminal
laguardia, 3rd choice, train to jamaica, subway to jackson heights, q33 bus to terminal, several airlines
newark, last choice, train to penn station, bus to airport, most expensive in mass transit costs
given this much variety we book first and then worry about airfare

Definitely room first. We find Airfares are often better closer to the time of travel.

Always DVC first and then watch the fares. I book the flight when I think the fare is reasonable but as I just posted in another thread if the fare drops - contact the airline for a credit or refund. Annmarie

I do the unthinkable - I CALL and put the airfare on the 24 hour hold (no penalty to cancel within the 24 hours) and then call MS and get the reservations. I've never had to cancel my airfare but it's great insurance just in case. If I did it online, I'd have to purchase right then. I always check online for the prices and when I call the airlines the prices are always the same as online. I have yet to see a cheaper airline price online versus callling the airline for reservations. Hope this helps someone.

DVC reservations. Then I keep checking the arilines until I find what I consider to be an acceptable price...usually, from CT, I shoot for under $200 if possible.

I always book the accomodations first.

Then I start viewing airlines on the internet.

Stay off Southwest, to many stops.

Depends on what area of Ca but we fly out of San Jose
on American Airlines stops in Dallas then to Orlando, last year we paid 232.00 per person, coach we booked 4 months out travelled in the middle of June. I thought the fare was good.

If in So. ca Delta has a nice flight if I remember around 8:30 am non stop (breakfast and movie)

Enjoy you trip....:Pinkbounc :sunny:
