Do you love your mattress? Tell me about it!!!

We have a king Stearns and Foster pillow top with a memory foam topper. Add to that a set of Egyptian Cotton Sheets and that equals me never wanting to get out of bed! Its the most comfy bed.

I have a Serta Pillow-top, California King Mattress. It's my favorite piece of furniture in the entire house, I love my bed!

I’m going through the same thing right now and it’s so difficult. The mattress business is such a racket -- you can’t comparison shop because every store has a different name for the same model. The Heavenly Bed is made by Simmons, and I emailed Simmons and asked if they could tell me what a comparable model would be and they won’t disclose that. They say that the HB is unique and you have to buy it from Westin. The Heavenly Bed is pretty affordable from Westin (around $1400 for a king) but that makes me concerned that it’s not really the top of the line (I have to think that Westin is not giving us a bargain price). As someone mentioned in a previous thread on this subject, a big factor in how comfortable the HB is is their sheets, pillows and comforters; it’s not just the mattress. If I can get a better quality mattress locally for the same price I want to do that. I’m leaning toward getting a super pillow top Simmons Beautyrest and I think that will be pretty comparable to the HB.

I am leaning towards the same one right now, it is at Marshel Feilds (formally Hudsans.) It is on sale for around 1100 for the king size. We keep going back and forth between getting a king and a queen too. I am having a heck of a time finding a bed set too.

Ok I sell mattresses so I might be able to help you out here.

The best mattress that you will be able to buy is latex. Be careful when you buy latex however to make sure that it is pure, natural latex. We carry Graham mattress company in our store and their latex mattresses are 100% pure. They have a latex tree farm in south america. The latex is farmed just like mapel syrup from a maple tree. It is then washed with soap and water and baked. This latex will last you at least 40 years. You want to make sure that no additives have been added to the latex to make it go farther. This is not good for you! The natural latex will be great for anyone will allergies, asthma or any type of back or joint pain. It relieves the pressure points. The mattresses that we carry are 6 inches of pure latex over 3 inches of high density foam. No Springs! Latex will also sleep cooler than memory foam since it has air pockets built into it.

One of the biggest differences between latex and memory foam is that you will be cradled more by the memory foam and you will sleep more on top of the latex. The more latex is in your mattress the softer the bed will feel to you. Also a memory foam mattress is only going to last you about 10-15 years.

Now that being said, I have a memory foam bed. I have 4 inches of 5 lb memory foam in my topper and a foam incased spring system underneath. This bed is very soft! I like it a lot and it has done wonders for my back. The foam incasement makes your sleeping surface up to 20% larger and it keeps the springs from breaking down as quickly. The only thing about my bed is that it gets hot! The memory foam is a man-made product and since it does cradle you it gets hotter than a latex or spring mattress. My mattress has cool max fabric on the top which takes heat away from your body but it is still warm at night.

Both of these kinds of beds in our store for a queen size run around $2000, much less than Tempurpedic! Too bad you aren't close to SC, I could hook you up with something really nice. :teeth:

I have a Stearn & Foster mattress. It was like $1000, but my grandma works at Mattress Warehouse, so I got every discount. She is also a top saleswoman there, several years in a row. :) :) The mattress was also my B-Day gift from my Grandma & Papaw.

My friend has THE most comfortable bed on the planet.

Restonics double pillow top. I think they paid just under $2000 for it.

Bought a Simmons queen dual Aristocrat ( each side has a different firmness) , Beauty rest foundation.... Hopefully it will feel as great tomorrow night as it did in the store...

My husband and I both had back and neck problems with our old mattress.
We bought Restonic's version of memory foam with a pillow top. It's the most comfortable bed we have ever had. The mattress is thicker than Tempurpedic and breathes better with the pillow top.

The amazing thing about memory foam is that once you get into your sleep position, you don't move. We get the best sleep we've ever had because we don't toss and turn-- plus, no back or neck pain.

I also highly recommend the Novaform Imperial memory foam classic pillow from Linens N Things. It's like a cloud that cradles your head and neck. It's GREAT!

Spend a night at the Sheraton in a Sweet Sleeper! Oh My! That is what I want when I finally decide to invest in a new bed setup.

We just got back from the store. We ordered a king size simmons beatyrest plush pillow top (I forget the other name, it is different for every store.) It is a 2400 matress set and we got it for 1,000 so I am pretty happy about that. It felt really good in the store, I took a rest while hubby paid for it. :goodvibes I am really looking forward to a King size bed now too. :teeth:

We also got the bed set, in the natrual maple to macth our new master bathroom (that we will share with the kids so it isn't so master, but it has a jacuzzi tub so I will take what I can get.)

It is all comeing together and in 2 weeks we should be living and sleeping in our new addtion, a year in the making. Sorry I am just so happy. However I have a LOT of panting to do this weekend. :cool1:
