I know there is a 1 night non refundable deposit if you cancel your reservation, but if you change resorts, does that deposit apply to the new reservation? I only have til Tuesday before my 120 day window is up, but still not sure of exactly where we can stay. Also, everytime I put in Port Orleans as my choice on the webpage, Caribbean Beach comes up. If my click on best alternative, I get Riverside. We want French Quarter, can I call to try to see if it's available or does it have to be done online?

If you change things, they will charge you a $50 fee unless your package total is MORE than your original package.

You can apply your original deposit no matter if you new package is more or less.

I moved from POFQ to Contemporary and needed to only pay the deposit difference. I called them. Word to the wise, when I called only manager/supervisors could make changes to AP Best Rate reservations.

U2 Fan, Have you had your room rate reduced through the best rate plan?

I changed my best rate from Riverside to the Beach Club.
Like the other person said if you upgrade there is no penalty
I am wondering if adding on a day to you reservations would be considered and upgrade?
Or say you went from a standard room at riverside to a preferred room

Hi All,

Mich Mouse, my rate hasn't changed since I booked online about a month or so ago.

Shirley 38, from what I have been told, it goes by your total package cost. So adding a night or two would increase the cost, therefore no fees.

Hope this helps!

Thanks, U2Fan...

This plan is not as bad as we originally thought. Remember the panic!

Just wanted to say that we have been checking for weeks to see if POFQ would become available for our December 2-10 vacation, but the only thing we get is Caribbean Beach. From my understanding if it doesn't come up or if you get it but it doesn't say Best Rate at the top of the page it isn't available for that time. And from what I've read here on the DIS you can only book this online, you can't call and get it. Good luck!

Amy
