Do you look good in photographs?

I am watching the Academy Awards and all of the ladies look so beautiful.
Beautiful DD and sweet DILs take such lovely photos. I look like the creature-feature make-up artists have been working on me. Always have one eye closed or some really silly look on my face. I told DD when I am dead and gone she will have to tell her grand-children that I broke the camera and that's why there are so few pictures of me.

My theory to why a lot of people don't think they look good in photographs is that they are now seeing themselves as other see them. We usually only see ourselves in the mirror. Which of course is a mirror image of how others see us.

I hate how I look in pictures, but I'm gullible enough to believe that it must be the photographer's fault!

Someday, I'll find a GREAT photographer who will be able to truly capture my beauty!

I don't particularly like how I look in pictures, but I let LOTS of pictures of me be taken. When my granny died, there were only a handful of pictures of her. I don't want my children and grandchildren to NOT have pictures of me when I pass on simply because I am vain.

I don't mind how I look in photographs, I usually have a goofy smile on my face and in some awkward pose. It's funny though...

I'm not a fan of how I look in pictures, but then again I'm not a huge fan of how I look in real life either. There are litterally thousands of pictures of me though, because my family takes pictures of everything.

For some reason, the DMV always takes fabulous pictures of me. I always get compliments when I whip out my drivers license for proof of ID. As for regular pictures, well..... .

Every once in a blue moon I like a pic of myself. But usually I honestly look God Aweful in pics. I don't like having my pic taken so this situation doesn't come up often.

You know I have come to the realization that if I didn't try and actually "SMILE" for the pictures they wouldn't be half bad. However, once I smile my cheeks push up the skin under my eyes and leave me with the tea bag look.

nobody in my family takes a good picture except my dad. I was looking at christmas pictures to frame one for my DS girlfriend to give to her for her birthday. She didn't have a bad picture in the bunch. My DS on the other hand looks like he just came off a 3 week drinking spree! Every picture has his eyes half shut and a loopy grin on his face!! My DMom and I both look awful in all of our pictures. Thank goodness for photoshop because now I can just crop myself out of all of our pictures!!!

When I was much younger and much slimmer I didn't mind and they looked okay. Now, nope. Too heavy, and a big difference.

But I allow pictures to be taken so that others know that I did exist.

I have never liked photos I am in. I am so grumpy about it I recently offended a friend who is a photographer. I feel terrible about it that my hangup upset someone else. So from now on I will shut up and learn to find something I like when I am photographed.

I hate to have my picture taken. It makes me nervous. The only person that can take decent pictures of me is DH--he is the only one I can relax and smile for. I don't mind if people take my picture when I am not looking, but I hate to pose. When we got married, I only gave the photographer 10 minutes to do the pictures!

If I have time to pose, such as for a business photo, I'm drop-dead gorgeous. (Just joking - but I do look a heck of a lot better.)

If it's a quick, "Hey! Look up and let me take a photo!", eh... not so much.

I never like the way I look in photos. As a matter of fact, it is the one vow that I made for our trip next week. I'm just gonna let DH take as many as he wants, and then I'll sneak in the bathroom while he's sleeping and erase the truely hideous ones.
