Do You Live Life Believing Things Could Always be Better or

I try to look at the positive and look toward the future. There is always something that can be improved..but I can be happy with what I have too.;)

I live life knowing that they'll be ups and downs, but things are ultimately going up.

I liove by the "things can always be worse" rule, because I am nurse and I see on a day-to-day basis that there are people in te world with WAY more troubles than me.

Plus, that's ho my parents were. If you came in with a cut on your knee, they'd be like "well, it could have been worse, you could have broken you r leg". If you came in with a broken leg, they'd be like "well, it could have been worse, you could have amputated your leg". If you came in with an amputated leg, they'd say "well it could have been worse, you could have amputated both legs". If you came in with both legs amputated, they'd say "well, it could have been worse, you could have been killed."

I just turned 50 this year so I'm starting to "reflect" more. Some times I think life could have been better but some times I think life could be a lot worse, depending on my mood.:p :D

LOL, I'm a "could be better, could be worse" kinda person. I try to remember there are a lot of people worse off than I am. But I always have hope that things will be better.

I'm a happy kind of person most all of the time. I'm thankful for what I have and now when it is meant to be, I'll have what I need.

When something not so great happens to me during the day, I think "Well, if that's the worse thing that will happen to me today, I'll be fine!"

I'm an "it could always be worse" type of person. I count my many blessings daily.

I have relatively good health, a wonderful DH, terrific family, a roof over my head, food on my table, clothes on my back, a job I enjoy 99% of the time...

If I even think about wallowing in self pity I stop and think about my MIL and what she endured with ALS. She was a strong woman and if I am half as strong as she was I'll be just fine! :)

"Things can always be worse", that's my view on life. :sunny:

I'm a "it could be worse" person. I know that, at times, things could be better but I always try to look on the bright side. I know that there are many people out there in the world that are a lot worse off than I am.

I know it could always be worse. My mom has said a few things that have stuck with me over the years. Her most often saying is "This too shall pass", but a few years ago when I was complaing about my house payment and having to make it late she told me, "At least you have a house payment to be behind on". I know it could be worse, I've been there. My dh has no idea what rock bottom is.

Things could be worse. I try to be thankful for what we have each day. It is very difficult though. Life is no carnival of fun.

For me, it depends on the situation. I try to have a positive outlook most of the time, so when things get bad, I try to remind myself of how fortunate I am, and that no matter how bad things are, there's always someone who has it worse (that sounds terrible, doesn't it? :( )

To be honest, I tend to look at the negative side of everything. I know I shouldn't though!!
Is that the first step of recovery?!
