This is our house. There are about five different floorplans and numerous elevations, but there is a certain sameness about it. The homes are all by one builder and were all built at the same time. We like it though. It's a pretty neighborhood with lots of nice families and people who take pride in their homes.

I believe we're in the same neighborhood. We just renovated our home.
There are a few "basic capes" on the block. Mostly owned by people who have been living there since the 50's.

Well  from Levittown.

On my block it is about evenly split between renovated houses and unrenovated houses. Mine is pretty much untouched. My mom would love to extend the kitchen but I went to college instead. ;) I have seen some houses that renovated and they are truly beautiful houses.

One of my neighbors houses was still completely in its original form. The ranches have the fireplace inbetween the living room and the kitchen. There were folding room dividers between the wall and the fireplace by the front door. (I always wondered what the hook on my fireplace was for.) My neighbor still had this. She also had the original wall of windows in the living room, something I wish my house still had.

I voted 'no'
although, in 1780 it was probably looked upon as a cookie cutter house! :rotfl:
