im sure this question, in some way shape or form, has been asked before but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask it again. I'm still young (27) and have always wanted to live close to WDW and have an annual pass. Im a stay at home mom and just daydream about what it would be like to be able to go anytime that I wanted. I'm looking for a little insight. Does anyone live close? Even better is anyone a stay at home Mom with young kids (mine is 2) and do you go to the parks often with your little one? Or if you're a local, do you still love it just as much? Do you still go a lot? Do you like living there? Are there any cons? I'm sure everyone has daydreamed about this before but would you actually do it if it was possible?

Hi. Well I don't know about close but I'm about 65 miles away and wish I was closer. We go about every other month and don't get tired of it. Living close and going more often changes the way you experience it. I don't feel the need to rush everywhere to fit everything in and I can just sit and people watch if I want. It's given me opportunity to take special tours and seek out the little things I never had time to do before.
I am on the west coast of FL and love it here but it is HOT. If you don't like the heat, it probably isn't a great place for you. We do avoid WDW in the summer because it's just too hot for us. It's hotter in the center of the state then on the coast here in the summer. I don't have any little ones (well, I have 4 legged children but that doesn't count) so I can't speak to that.
I'm sure you would love it just like lots of locals due. And yes, I dreamed of going and living here long before I did. Now that I'm about an hour car ride away, I'm looking for ways to maybe move closer if only half the year so I can visit and maybe work there some day. I've officially drank the kool-aid and don't think that will change anytime soon. You are in good company. LOL

I live in New Orleans so I'm thinking the climate change wouldn't really be a factor but, I have never been to WDW in the summer either so I am not positive if it's more or less humid/hot.

Hi! We live in Celebration right next to Disney. I have been here, and had an AP, for 14 years now and just LOVE it! I am a stay at home Mom with 2 kids ages 8 and 2. We go often to the parks. Usually in the mornings for a few hours. Living at Disney is very nice...we stay away during the super busy times & can swing by just to have lunch or dinner. In my opinion there are no cons. It was a great choice for me. I moved here from Atlanta all by myself when I was 26. I actually am taking my daughter (2) to EPCOT tomorrow morning just to see the butterfly garden for a little bit after we drop my son off at school:)

Oh that sounds amazing. That's exactly what I was thinking. I would love to be able to just head over and bring my girl to lunch and maybe catch a parade whenever I felt like it.

To answer original question, no we don't live near. Actually about 4800 miles give or take a few hundred. Sometimes wish we lived closer but love paradise. Really enjoyed our first visit past January and hope to go back in December. :drive:
