poll coming... but for me, ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM!... as long as they don't hit my house and ruin my electronics. :teeth:

they're not as much fun since DW and DS don't like them, so it's harder to get excited about them

I LOVE them! Especially after days and days of hot, humid weather - they really feel like a welcome change.

I love them in the evening. I also love watching the weather channel and seeing the warnings on TV. I call my neighbor and we both get real excited about the potentional storms.

Love them. We put a roof over our deck last year and we can now watch the storms out side and keep dry. (we back onto a park which make sit even better)

I have always loved them. Mother nature at her best. I don't like hurricanes, though. Since I left the Midwest, I've only seen two thunderstorms. One was while waiting ofr oa connection in Covington/Cincinnatti, and the other happened out here about a week agou in the middle of the night. Of course I got up to watch. :goodvibes I do miss thunderstorms.

If it's just a rainstorm, I'm ok with it, but when thunder and lightening are involved, I can't help being a worrier. You never know where lightening will strike. :umbrella:

I hate thunder and lightening storms. They scare me. One of our distant cousin's has been struck by lightening multiple times. A friend of mine knew a girl that was killed by lightening. We've had to replace an insane amount of phones, radio things, etc because of lightening strikes that were way too close. My dad's well was struck a few years ago, and roughly every 4 years he has to replace the garage door opener and the house alarm system because lightening strikes too close. Sorry, but there's nothing cool about lightening storms for me.

They are okay. But yesterday they lasted 3 hours and we recieved over 5 inches of rain. Which you can image what happened to the roads and a bunch of houses.

Since I live in an area where we don't see much of them, I LOVE seeing it when i AM in the area. (But I can respect those that get tired of them, etc.)

I love em! I love to sit on the front porch and watch the storms roll ing

I chose the last option because I find them awe-inspiring but in a terrifying way. I wish I could see more from under the bed, lol!

They can be scary and I don't get out in them but I sleep LIKE A BABY when they are going on. Most of the time if they are at night I never knew anything was going on until I get to work the next day or I see the wet roads.I get my best sleep then!!!! We use white noise to sleep with also and use a rainstorm cd as loud as we can get it!!

Don't like them!

If you lived in the lightning capital of the US like I do, you wouldn't either.

Love 'em, Love 'em, Love 'em!!!!

Taken At Port Orleans French Quarter.

Whenever we have one heading our way, I am outside checking it constantly. Here in Florida you can see the lightning even when it is miles away. There have been storms with frequent cloud to ground strikes and others with once a second flashes in the clouds. You start thinking about Close Encounters and expect a UFO to come out and land. :teeth:

Did I mention that I love 'em?? :p

I have always like watching the storms and hurricanes (Im weird) but recently my house was struck by lightning (nothing was significantly damaged..thankful) so now I get nervous when I see a lightning storm.

Definitely! ( well, just the sleep like a baby part... I sit outside in thunderstorms )

I will actually sit on my deck (covered) and watch it storm. Watching it rain. is actually really relaxing after a long day at work. My two cats hate it, but that's another story.
