Very nice Deb, I have a collection of ceramic ones, but also have Mickey and Minnie teddy ones.

They are lovely! I especially like the cushion. And fridge magnets on the radiator? A metallic surface that I've overlooked! Must get more magnets :D

Brilliant! :D

( ... and "Hi" to Gordon the Gopher too... )

They are so great Deb i especially love the minnie and mickey in the cream colours. If i ever came to you house i probably wouldn't want to leave that room it is sooo nice.

:D Deb, they're just great. Can't remember seeing some like the cream and blue ones before . . . are they from WDW?

You'll have to give me a few tips on where to find them at the SW Dis Meet tomorrow.

See you then
A x

... another fan here Debbie - they are gorgeous :) The ones in the second picture look valuable - are they early toys?
We saw the cream ones last week in WDW - did you buy them recently?
My faves are in your first pic -they are SO cute!

I got the cream ones last July at WDW. We only saw them in a couple of places then, but when we went in December they were available in quite a few places. They do a Goofy too.

The 'valuable' ones are replicas. I got those and the blue 'baby blanket' ones from Disneystore.com.

The bigger Mickey on the left-hand side of the sofa is a 100 Years of Magic special edition and the smaller one is chenille - the photo doesn't really do him justice - and I got him in the Disney Store in the Florida Mall a couple of years ago.

Debbie

was it quite effortless to order from disneystore.com and get it delivered to the UK?

I love Mickey Mouse but the Disney Store here (well in Aberdeen anyway) seems to favour Winnie the Pooh and his chums. There are no bean bags or even plush Mickeys! I did a search on the UK Disney Store website for MM and only a handful of things came up one of which was an umberella. I went into the store the following day to treat myself to a brolly (this is a Scottish summer after all) and there was none of the Mouse just the Bear and his mates :(

I had a look on www.disneystore.com and there was loads to choose from. I've seen a really nice WDW snowglobe, the postage would be $40. But what I am really worried about though is the import duty once it arrives in this country - as I have been stung once before.

Sorry for rambling Debbie but how did you get on?

Helen
:)

Hi Helen,

I wasn't stung for Customs Duty on this order from Disneystore.com, but I was half expecting to be. It was quite a big box and I was hoping it wouldn't be delivered by UPS as we've had charges added every time we've ordered from anyone in the States who uses them. In the event it wasn't - I think it was either Amtrak or DHL.

We occasionally get charges added on stuff ordered from Amazon.com, but not very often. There's no guarantee, though - in theory it's all subject to VAT and Customs Duty. My brother's a Customs Officer and even he has trouble trying to explain it all. In very, very simple terms, it just depends on which shipments Customs & Excise decide to look at.

Ordering from Disneystore was very simple and the goods turned up in about a week. I did pay about $40 shipping though. :(

Thank you for your reply, I think that if you are getting something that is certainly not available to buy here, then although the postage is steep I'd probably go for it! If the import duty was added then that would be a bumer. I know, I had to go over to Parcel Force and pay the extra on a swarovski mickey that I had 'won' on eBay. The guy told me he had loads of boxes below the counter that folk had never collected.

Cheers

Helen
;)
