How does everyone like the toiletries they give you at the hotel?? We are staying at AKL, and I can't decide if I should bring shampoo, body wash, etc..

So... WDW Resort Toiletries....

FAB or CRAP??? :thumbsup2

i imagine that the stuff they give you isnt "family" sized. there is 3 of us and both myself and DD have thick long hair, i have to bring my own shampoo and conditioner or we would look like cavemen:lmao:

I like them. I like that they now have a separate shampoo and conditioner, and I like the lotion. I always save up the extras to bring home and use when I need a Disney fix. One sniff and I'm right back there again.

Nope. I liked the old soap - a lot, actually - but never cared for the rest of it.

Don't like the new H2O soaps at all.

I like them, but I am not fussy about what I use. I am not one of those people who has a "skin care regime" or anything like that. I wash my face with what is in the soapdish.

They're not too bad but they are quite fragrant (the H2O stuff). DD loves them b/c they have Mickey on them. I do have to say that the conditioner makes a great shave cream in a pinch. Mine leaked on the way to WDW and rather than buy more I used the conditioner. Smooth as silk!

One tip, don't give DD baths using the shampoo or shower gel as they are not likely GYN tested. Once maybe, but a few in a row and there could be some issues. (not that anyone asked, but had to share)

I have been a fan of H2o products for years. I was absolutely estatic when i heard disney switched to h20 !! LOVE IT!!

I didn't care for the old products, but the H2O items are good. The bottles are small, but housekeeping stocked ours up so much that we had 3-4 bottles of each product per day. :)

 The shampoo is crap (I have thick, coarse hair)
 The conditioner is crap (same reason above)
:) The facial soap is nice but very drying.
:) The bath soap is nice but again, very drying.
:) The lotion is nice but too light for my taste.
:woohoo: :woohoo: The shower gel is AWESOME!:woohoo: :woohoo:

I just bring the stuff I can't live without with me to WDW. While I like H20 products, the stuff Disney deluxe resorts stocks I only like about 10 - 20
% of. Now the H20 body butter they give you on DCL is awesome! :thumbsup2

I packed my own shampoo (packs of samples of my shampoo for color treated hair my salon gave me) but for DH and the kids i was planning to use the in room stuff.... will they provide a few bottles when there are 5 guests? DD13 has really thick hair and will probably need a whole battle each day. DH and the 2 smaller kids could probably use 1 bottle together.

WooHoo! Thanks for the replies! I am taking soap & shampoo for the twins, but I was torn. I am not picky about my hair gunk, but I am about my face soap.. so I think I'll leave the hair gunk at home, and take the face cleaner! :thumbsup2

The new products are cute, as were the old ones, but we prefer to use what we're used to, especially for hair. For a short trip we'll use the soap, but anything over 3 days and we bring all our own stuff :)

We had shampoo, conditioner, hand lotion, bath and face soap, body wash and hand lotion at AKL and OKW. We got different products at moderates, at CSR we had shampoo, conditioner, hand lotion, bath and face soap, POR had the combo shampoo/conditioner, bath and face soap, same as POP did.

We usually bring our own and bring the stuff we get home to give away to others. :goodvibes

Im a bit of a snot though, so you might not want to trust my opinion.

It depends on if you're in a deluxe vs. a mod vs. a value.

We stay at the GF and love the toiletries. But if we were to go and stay at POP or CSR? I don't know if they'd be the same, in quality or quantity.

We always bring home the Mickey soap to soak in the magic when we are at home. That being said, the shampoo and conditioner are BAD and I would highly recomend bringing your own. Who wants to have a bad hair day at WDW? Think of all the pictures you'll be in ;).

This is true for me too, my hair is so thick that I would need about three ofthose conditioners to condition my mop. I just bring full size conditioners and shampoo for me and DH to share, I might use the freebies on the kids, but even then my DD's hair is thick too and she needs more than average too!!! I like to see the stuff in the room, but for us it is mostly just a room decoration!!! We just have no real use for them....we are a hairy bunch!!!!:lmao:
