I'd love to try this as a CS credit on our upcoming trip.

What's your favorite meal?

Can you swap sides? I'm not crazy about toubeleh and was hoping I could get the marinated olives instead without having to buy it as an additional side.

This is my favorite CS in all of WDW!!:thumbsup2 I love the Shawarma Platter! The baklava was particularly good too.

I have been able to substitute things at other Disney restaurants, haven't had to do it at this one though.

Another vote for the shawarma platter--I still dream about that food! I got the lamb/chicken combo--it rocked!

I must be in the minority because after reading all the glowing reviews of TC on the Dis I was absolutely disappointed in this place...and BTW I am a Gyros/lamb lover. I ordered the lamb/chicken combo and it was horrid. The meats were dry and tasted like each other (lamb tasted like the chicken and the chicken vice versa), no distinction in taste whatsoever, and hard stale tasting bread and baklava. I hoped that this was a serious off night and not the way this place really tasted! The only thing I found edible was the rice. I was on DLXDP so I felt I wasted a good TS meal on that one.

Oh my gosh, this is one of my very favorite places!! I don't know if they would swap out sides, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. Myself, I haven't met any type of food I won't eat. I need to be on bizarre foods, Zimmern has nothing on me.;) :lmao:

Agreed, this was hands-down our favorite CS place in all of WDW. We ate there twice on our trip. I have to disagree with one previous poster, though: the baklava was inedible to me. It was cold and very, very hard, with little flavor other than plain syrup. The nuts were too ground up, almost pasty. In all fairness, I make my own baklava, so I am probably just picky. I flavor the syrup with clove and orange peel, or sometimes rose water. I also keep it room temp, so the pastry won't get too soggy. Overall, I thought the food was awesome at Tangierine Cafe.:thumbsup2

We love the schwarma plate and I always swap the sides around to get the olives. No problem. We will be there 7 weeks from today but whose counting.:) Also, we always take the baklava back to the room for our treat at night.
