Do you like POR or POFQ better and why?

Would love to get feedback about the pros and cons. We have only stayed at POR and love it but hubby would like to try POFQ and we are wondering if we should or not.

Both resorts are great. But since you asked, we do prefer POR for a couple reasons.

DS prefers the slide at the feature pool
We like the quiet pools
We prefer the food court
We love the ambience of the mansions section
Closer to Yeeha Bob

Now the great thing about these 2 resorts is if you're staying at one it's very easy to enjoy the amenities of the other. These are just our preferences.

I love FQ mostly due to it's tiny size I can walk from the farthest room to the Food Court in 3 min and to the bus stop in 4.

At POR we had a room that was far away an it took 13 min to walk back to the Food court, the bus was a 1.5 min walk across the parking lot. But it was the last stop so the bus was usually full by the time it got to us so we always had to stand.

The smallness of FQ doesnt appeal to me, and I personally dont like the appearance of that resort. The tiny food court doesnt appeal to me either. I think POR if much prettier, esp the mansion section. I like the pool better, so does my DS12. Food court is awesome! Looove the make your own pasta. I also love that the bike rentals are located at POR. Oh, and the quiet pools are definitely a bonus.

We enjoyed POR for all of the reasons cited by Dansdad. But it was just too big for us. The walk to and from the main buildings to our room just about did me in. POFQ is just so easy and convenient to get around that it wins out for us- if we feel the need for pasta or music we can just walk or ride over to POR.

POR Mansions (unless you really like solitude!)

Bus service is better at FQ and for buses that stop at both resorts FQ is first - if you want a seat (or to even get on if it's busy)! At the mansions you could have a hike to a bus stop. If you take the water taxi to DTD it's a shorter boat ride at FQ

POR has better choice/more varied food in the food court

The preferred rooms are always a short walk to the food court, main pool and a quite pool at POR.

Unfortunately no quiet pool at FQ

I agree but I especially prefer the rustic charm of the AB at POR. POFQ is nice but I find the FQ to have more of an urban feel to it.

POR mansion section is my fav. Magnolia Terrace or Acadian House are great locations close to everything without paying preferred.
Love the food court, and Mansion theming, landscaping, and option of quiet pool.

After 3 Por stays we tried POFQ in January, and loved it there too. Not having quiet pools wasn't an issue in January. We had a great location in bldg 4 close to everything. And I walked over to POR for my fav pasta bar! It's a short walk.

I think you should try it. It's always fun exploring new resorts.

I love POFQ....the cute little size, the food court,everything! it is so cute,and convenient to stay there! I walked over to POR food court one morning,and didn't like the noisy bigness of it. it was just...too much. Again,I like all the resorts on property, but I know what my fave is.....

I just checked out of POR this morning but did take a tour of POFQ and if have to say POR gets my vote, POR IMO was drastically different, it was almost hard to believe they were both moderates side by side. POFQ did have a more fun atmosphere, I thought POR had a deluxe feel without the price tag. Yes very big but that's nice when you have down time for hanging at the resort!
