This was so difficult to admit, but I had to vote hated it. :guilty:

I love AKL, this summer will be our third time staying there, and I wanted to love Boma. We've only had the breakfast, and many of the food selections had some types of spices in it that I didn't care for. Even the eggs tasted like it had something like cinnamon in them The place was packed, so I think I was a minority! Everyone in my group liked the food, and ate heartily. I guess I wasn't blessed with an appreciation of exotic tastes!

I agree with you. I really wanted to like it. I just couldn't get used to the peanut sauces and peanut rice and cinnamon spiced things.

I can't imagine not being able to find something at the buffet that you don't like -- but, that's what makes the world go round.
For those of you that didn't like it, did you try the prime rib? I thought it was the phenomenal -- and the most "American."

So glad to hear some positive reviews of breakfast there. We just made ressies there for breakfast next Friday, May 5, our last morning. We got one of their last times-10:45-so I hope they're not cleaning up stuff while we're still trying to eat! Deb Wills site says they have a make-your own omelette. DH loves those!

Our seating was 10:45 the week before Easter. Everything was plentiful and fresh. The made to order omelette was great (much better than the one I had at Crystal Palace the next day). The coffee and "frunch" are good too.

My DH said that he enjoyed the prime rib. It was really the only item on the menu that he did like.

Kids didn't care for it, but I loved it and wife thought it was ok.

I've convinced her to go back in Oct when we're going for the F+W without the kids.

I voted "I loved Boma!" although we enjoy dinner there much more than breakfast.

Oh, I did find something. I had rolls for breakfast! I really didn't like anything else, especially since I don't eat pork, I couldn't eat the sausages.

But I'm going to take another look at the dinner menu, which I've never had. I know I love a good prime rib.

we ate at boma twice on our last trip and loved it. the kids menu is the usual fare, so all were happy. we plan on eating there at least once next trip. hopefully it will be just as good as we remember it!

Boma is a restaurant that I more than liked but less than loved. It does not some really interesting tastes going on.
I do enjoy the breakfast at Bomo more than the dinner, especially the chocolate croissants. IMO this breakfast buffet is one of the best at WDW.

Dinner has a couple of really good things on it, but as other people on this post have stated, the spices in some of the dishes leave a lot to be desired.

Saying all this, I would go back again, if I had the time. (unfortunately on my next trip, I am on the DP and intend to go to all the restaurants I have never been before)

Overall: :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 for a good dining experience.

I just had to register to comment about Boma. I had read some reviews here and other forums about Boma and thought we'd give it a try. Food was just ok and nothing special except for the same kind of spice that was present in most items. It was filling like the 1/2 lb burrito at Taco Bell but that was about it. My wife hated the food and chalked it up to experience...to never come back. 6yo daughter only ate the macaroni, pasta and some chicken wings and dessert. Dessert section was just so..so and no ice cream. I get a feeling most people don't know any better going in and then they try it once to never return. Despite those positive comments on this forum, I doubt the place gets much return customers. I was walking out and almost felt sorry for the people that were waiting to be seated. :sad2:

I LOVED Boma, but I'm a big fan of ethnic food especially sweet and savory spices. My favorite section is definitely the soups. I'm a little squeamish about weird meats, but it's impossible to scare me with spices!

I think maybe some people go to Boma expecting Golden Corral -- I'd send them to Chef Mickey's, and I definitely will not be there!

We love it for dinner(no breakfast eaters here). It has become a must for us every trip. :earsboy:
