when they "blow up" - do they just poof up - or do they actually blow up and make a mess?????

You don't cook 'em too long -- 30 secs max I think (it's been a while since Easter....). They expand, and then implode on themselves and get hard. No mess, and laughing kids....How can you beat it?

I had never tried Peeps but I always see them on the Food Network and I bought some for Christmas last year out of curiousity. I spit it out after one bite. Give me a plain mashmallow any day.

In addition to the cocoa ones, they also have ones at Christmas that are shaped like gingerbread men and taste like sugar cookie, and ones at Valentine's that are red hearts and taste like strawberry cream. I like to get the black cats for Halloween!

I love Peeps, they rule! My husband thinks they're gross, he has no taste. I also prefer them fresh as opposed to stale.
