But the dentists love them as they always have to fix the chipped teeth. Cha Ching $$$$$ another Disney cruise paid for!!!!

I wouldn't do it - my dental bills are high enough as it is. I don't mind them, though. My old boyfriend used to have one years ago.

As a guy I love them on a woman along with a belly button and possibly other piercings. It must be a guy thing but there is just something very sexy about it.

Funny, my husband feels the same way! I opted for one of those two myself

I am indifferent to these... I have known many who have had it done and honesetly as long as they don't "play" with the tongue bar I don't particularly care.

It's one of the ones I wouldn't do though... a couple lost the ability to roll their Rs (not all do though, all depends on the tongue I guess... and a couple re-learned to do it) and I wouldn't be able to double tongue as well as I used to with musical instruments.

I have to say there are *many* piercings I do love! This just is one I can take or leave.

Your hubby and I would probably get along very well helenbear. I also like body art or tattoos for the general population. I currently have a few piercings and some body art and my DW is getting her first to done in the next month.

I'm indifferent.....BUT DD has one and it isn't so bad.
I hate when people are always flicking them and playing them. So annoying!
But......she doesn't flip hers. She talks just fine
And if they use the acrylic balls, like dentists recommend, no increased dental bills
As for growing old with one , unlike tattoos, they aren't permenant. Like any piercing the hole does go away when the ring is removed
