or unpack them each time you go away?

I unpack everything when I get home. But I heard that many like to keep a small stash of toiletries in their luggage, 'cause it saves on time and forgeting the essentials.

What do you do?

I put everything in the bathroom, so in the morning & @ bedtime, they are all ready for use. I don't like to hunt through my luggage everytime I want something.

I unpack them all when I get home. I do however have a running list of everything I need to pack so when its time I just print it out and I know I wont forget anything. Besides, I enjoy packing again for the next trip. It gets me psyched to go.

I use to travel with my job several times a month, so I always kept a bag of toiletries packed. I still keep one packed so I only have to pack my clothes. It really saves time and I never forget anything because its already packed. If I use something I just replace it when I get home so I am always ready. (now if I just had someplace to go!!!)

I keep a set in my luggage -- toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner, q-tips, deodorant, hair ties or headbands and face-cleaning wipes (Olay daily facials) -- all in a plastic bag.

I tend to pack at the very last minute (as in, I'm taking the last of the laundry out of the dryer 20 minutes before we leave for the airport!), so it really helps me not to forget the essentials. I usually throw another bag with hair junk and any shower gel I've been using in it, but even if I forget to do that I'm okay.

My boyfriend and I also go on a lot of last-minute weekend trips when we can afford it, so it's nice to know that that stuff is always ready.

Never. Just a habit I picked up from being an airline brat. My luggage would ofetn go on without me and I have been stuck for long hours at airports. It's nice to be able to freshen up.

My carry-on never gets unpacked, since I will often be on the road.

I keep a travel set in my shoulder bag. We have a mountain retreat and go on the spur of the moment so having that much packed is one less thing to worry about.

I have a bag of "essentials" that I never unpack. I do remember to refill every now and then too. I travel for weekends now and then and this is much easier for me to do it this way.

I have a "freedom bag" from QVC, it has compartments for all your stuff. I keep it packed and check it before a trip to see if anything needs replaced. I just checked their website, it doesn't look like they sell it anymore.

They only thing that never get's really "unpacked" is our travel medicine chest. It is a large bag with every possible first aid, medicine, and small essential item I can think of that we keep fully stocked and packed up... ready to go on whatever adventure is next in our plans. :)

I have a toiletries bag I never unpack. Just put fresh meds in when I am ready to go and I am all set.

I've been planning on keeping a packed toiletry bag for a while. I just bought one recently, and it's partially stocked. I'm hoping I'll finally start traveling and will have some use for it. :bounce:

cant they think of a better name then toiletries

I keep a bag packed. It's a bag I bought from QVC that is great (it's not the Freedom bag, though I have one of those too)! It's a pretty green color, comes with a shoulder strap you can detach, has about 20 individual places you can pack items (some zip, some don't), it has a mesh compartment inside too. It lays flat to pack ( kind of makes a cross shape when unzipped and flat). Then you zip it up and it looks like a cute purse! Once zipped, it forms a space that you get to by unzipping the top. When you unzip the top, you can put some undies, socks a nightgown and your makeup case inside, so you are all set for stopping overnight somewhere! I love it!

I keep a small supply of stuff in my suitcases. Usually in a ziploc bag. I also like to buy things for a planned trip and stash them in the suitcase as soon as I get them (disposable cameras, etc.).

We have a toiletry bag that we keep packed and then we check it before trips to see if there is anything we need. One advantage if we do run out of something at home (rare) I always have the travel bag to raid!

I have a second set of everything but hair mousse in a seperate toiletry bag. I go away on business too much to do otherwise. One thing I've found that is really helpful is to empty some of the bottles, etc. that I get at hotels (I take every sample size I get) and put my own stuff in them. I then put white tape on the bottle and label it so I know what it is. That way I have small sizes of my own stuff that don't take up alot of room!

I have a toiletry bag that I keep packed. I put it in my carry on and not in my luggage.

I keep a packed bag with undies, nightgown, a couple of changes of clothes, toiletris and make up on hand all the time. Many times I get a call to go help my daughter with her children when she's sick and all I have to do is throw it in the car. Saves time and it's also ready when I will finally get on that plane for Orlando...come on, December!

It seems that most keep a bag packed for ease and accuracy! I think I will do the same. We travel about 2 WDW's a year and stay overnight in hotels in New England nearly every weekend in the fall and winter (son is a hockey player).

Thanks for the great advice.
