Do you leave your diaper bag in the stoller or take it with you on rides?

I think it would be easier to leave it in the stroller. But my husband says our stroller will be more likely to get stolen if we leave it in there  Obviously anything valuable will be coming with us, but a bag full of diapers, wipes, change of clothes and a snack? If someone is that desperate for a diaper bag that they'd steal it, they must obviously need it more than me :confused3 and I don't think it's worth worrying over

what are your thoughts?

We always leave our diaper bag in the stroller... taking a chance I guess, but, it is a lot easier to do, and we have never had an issue, (name brand bag, in a nice double stroller).

We left ours on the stroller handles when we went (It's a Skip Hop diaper bag) I think I paid about $50 for it and was very freaked to leave it, but it was fine.. even the times that DD left her whole pin lanyard in the bag it was okay. I know stuff probably does get stolen but I couldn't imagine unlatching the bag and carrying it every time we went on a ride or into a show.. I would have gone nuts!! DH told me to carry a cheap bag on the stroller just in case but I really love that diaper bag!!

pretty much always leave it in the stroller.....i keep my id, credit card and park pass on me at all times, so there's really nothing in there i can't live without or get more of at the baby station.

We left it all the time. Money and camera came with us.

I keep anything of value in my fanny pack. Everything else is in the diaper bag and shoved way under the stroller. I also try to park the stroller between strollers so it isn't sticking out there LOL.

Always have left it in the stroller, always make sure my money and tickets, fast passes, etc are on my person and grab the camera, but have even forgotten and left the camera in the bag and never had a problem.

We always leave our diaperbag hanging on the stroller. We have been twice now with a diaperbag in tow and have never had an issue. :goodvibes

We leave ours in the stroller too. We have a smaller bag that I carry in line with us which contains valuables, line distractions, etc. So far, this has worked well.

I would never leave a bag of any type in a stroller anywhere. But that is just he NY cynic in me I guess.

yes we leave the bag on the stroller but I always take my wallet and phone with me. I can easily replace the bag but not my phone/wallet.

We do leave our bags and we also have the one that hangs off the handles as well. Sometimes we even leave our video camera tucked underneath. I guess I am very trusting. I know strollers and bags get stollen but I guess I just choose not to think that will happen to me.
I didn't always think that way, before I had kids I would never think to leave my valuables anywhere! But when you realize how much 'stuff' you bring to the parks with kids it's really easy to just park it and leave it!

I leave the diaper bag and most other things in the stroller and never have had any trouble (knock on wood!). I have all "valuables" in my bagalinni/on me, but I know I have "forgotten" to grab the camera sometimes, and it's always been there when we got back.

We take the chance as well and leave our bag in the stroller. My DH carries the tickets and money so the only valuable is our camera - which we hide well if we do leave it.

And I will mention that it's a pain in the you know what to even try to get the bag out of the bottom of my stroller. We have a Joovy Sit and Stand Caboose so the back seat covers the basket. If someone is that desperate to take our bag...go for it!!!!

Our kids are our most valuable items. Even our money and tickets can be 'replaced".

We leave our bag in the stroller as well. I carry on me passes, money, cards, and camera. Our stuff has never been touched on 5 trips with a stroller.

i had accidently left my camera right on TOP of the stroller and it was there when i got back. No it wasnt the best camera in the world but it was a very nice fugi digital. We had gone on one of the rides and was gone for quite a period of time. See there are trusting ppl in this world.

My diaper bag is a backpack that I picked up for $5 on clearance when DD7 was born at the tail end of back-to-school season. Not worth worrying over, even when you add in the maybe $10 worth of diapers, wipes, and snacks that are likely to be in it at any given time, and I leave it on the stroller all the time. At Disney, anything of value is in the vintage Disney backpack I carry - my cameras, the kids' pins & lanyards, cell phone, etc. - and that comes with me everywhere.

OK, HAVE to put my two cents in. I think your dh is completely wrong. We've had a stroller stolen at Epcot. And I believe wholeheartedly it's because we DIDN'T have a diaper bag in it.

See, no one would come to Disney to steal a stroller, that is silly. They just swipe one because they didn't bring one. It's a lot less appealing to swipe a stroller that you are going to have a bunch of personal stuff in. At least, that is my theory.

But I have been to WDW over & over again with strollers & babies and with all kinds of different strollers and the ONLY time I've had a stroller swiped was when we took everything with us & left it there "naked."

So what I do is I have four bags. A diaper bag with everything in it. A small cooler with all the drinks & snacks. A tiny, flat wallet like purse. And a one armed, small backpack with money, camera, valuables in it.

And we make sure to have blankets, and diapers, and half eaten apples, and drinks all over our stroller. And stickers. That way we would notice our stroller if someone did swipe it. Our strollers SCREAM personality now. And I can't imagine someone swiping one. Because I would see them later in the day with it & be like, "Hey, that's my stroller!" Or just wait until they parked it & swipe it back.

Here is what I wear all day:
