Err...yeah, that was bad. And I've been in the US my whole life!

I had to do something like this for my geography class in high school. Yeah, I failed it then, too.

96% with an average of 9 miles off on my second try.

It really depends on the order the states are displayed. The second state I got was Colorado, which was really hard to place in the correct spot with no landmarks (not to mention the fact that Colorado and Wyoming are both so similar in shape and size so I sometimes get them mixed up).

I wish I could remember the scores from my first try -- it wasn't as good, but that's because the first East coast state I got was Delaware and I was 186 miles off in placing it.

I got 92%, average error 25 miles.

I got so lucky and was given all of the anchor states first. Everything else just fell into place.

I was so friggn close on alabama and new mexico. I did great on the wisconsin area and the new england states.
72% average 101 miles off and of course 443 time.

80% the second time. 41 out of 50 states (my mouse sucks). 251 seconds!!! Only 27 miles off!

I'll use the fact that I'm Canadian as an excuse but I know probably a dozen of your states, as to the exact location. I don't think most americans would have any clue as to where our provinces are

90% with error of 12 miles. Better than I thought I'd do. I tried it a 2nd time and got the same error amount with 14 miles off.

I swear they are too picky with some states though. I was given an easy coastal state and it just jumped on me and got it wrong.

Have to admit to having played this game before (but quite a while ago) I played it multiple times because I wanted to improve my mental map of the States, this is important to me having a degree in Geography and everything

yeah...I started with Nebraska...I was off by a state. Once you get a few in it's easy LOL!!!

I also was thrown off by where Deleware was when there were no other NE states on my board yet LOL.
