Do you know the title of this book?

My DD told me her sensei wanted this book while in DL, it was $40....and it had secret places in the park ...... like a rope or something you can pull while waiting in the Indi line....IDK, this is 2nd hand info from a 11 yo. I imagine a recording or some sort of audio would happen when this "rope" was pulled. That's the only instance I was given.

Is there a book w/ "secrets" that could enrich our trip?

I am traveling so I can not go find the book, but I know we have "The Disneyland Encyclopedia: The Unofficial, Unauthorized, and Unprecedented History of Every Land, Attraction, Restaurant, Shop, and Event in the Original Magic Kingdom" and a DVD that has about the same info. The rope is there and labeled "DO NOT PULL" and about 1/2 way thru the que there is a curved bamboo pole that you give it a good tug and it starts the thunder. Wish I were home to help. Good luck.

I highly recommend a DVD that’s called The Secret Tour of Disneyland by Lauren Delmont.

It’s 2 and a 1/2 hours long and it’s filled will all kinds of fun stuff about DL.

Okay, first, your 11 year old is completely right about the rope at Indy, so she relayed it right.

As for books that might include it... the $40 is really throwing me off, but here's a few I know of in addition to those named above:

- Disneyland's Hidden Mickeys: A Field Guide to the Disneyland Resort's Best-Kept Secrets (has things other than just hidden mickeys)
- Secrets Of The Mouse: An Unofficial Behind-The-Scenes Guide To Disneyland Park
- The Unofficial Guide to Disneyland 2010 (Not sure this one has little fun things like the Indy rope, though....)

If you go to a bookstore and thumb through them, you can narrow them down.

In September I bought a book in the park called "Disneyland Challenge"

It is spiral bound with plastic type pages. It's got all kinds of hints and secrets (although nothing in it was new to me). It was not $40 though, more like $18. I can check it when I get home to verify the price, but I know no way I would have paid $40 for something that didn't have any new to me information.

I found a link on Amazon where the cover looks the same but it's not spiral bound like mine, and the cost is outrageous ($77).

We have the Hidden Mickey book, it mentions the rope on Indy. Also, the bamboo pole in the line, make sure you give it a good hard push. And then look up....
